So I was very excited to pick out Bridesmaids dresses with my friends…….except for the part of my younger sister. She’s 23 but acts like she’s still 16. And she hated every single dress we picked. All my girls tried to play damage control and my aunt and cousin were finally sick of her attitude and enough was enough. So we finally found a dress that flattered every girl in my bridal party. They range in height from 5ft to 6ft, and a size 0 up to 22. So this was a very stressful and difficult evening. But we fiinally settled on the dress and I just think it’s too plain. So I am thinking of adding rhinestone brooches. Maybe butterfly brooches. Should I add them on the straps? Or on the cumber bun? One on each strap? I just want to jazz them up a bit, any advice is very welcome fellow bees!!!

I would put them on the band under the chest.. ours has a little jewel in the same spot & I think it looks nice. I’m not sure if I’d go w/ butterflies.. but if you like them, then go for it! Ours are just simple crescent shaped gems.

@Kookaburra13: What if they got a sash? Could be of a diff color then it would be a lot more ‘jazzier’.

i agree with PP and also, or also make the shoes the wow factor of the dress, too.

I think brooch on the strap or the cumber bun will look good. By The Way I love your bridesmaid dress!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one with this concern! I’m having very similar issues. My girls’ sizes range about like yours and they all love this dress. I’m just worried that it’s going to look “blah” in pictures. The brooch is a good idea. Any other ideas would be wonderful! 🙂

Thank you for all your help! We’ve decided we’re going to add ivory lace trim around the middle and maybe a rhinestone belt or ribbon!! I feel so much better about picking these dresses now!!

I think a brooch on the cumberbund or a sash would be very cute!
