DB has a dress with a really similar top (I only know this because my Bridesmaid or Best Man just emailed me to tell me she ordered it)  Maybe they could try on a “similar” dress elsewhere just to ensure that the style looks good?

I like the dress, the only thing I don’t like is that it look like a version of yours…..you want to look different than anyone else that day. My .2 cents 😉

I actually posted the wrong link (that one’s only available online) but here’s one you can look at in stores.  I think you would be most concerned with how the top half looks because I don’t think the bottom is going to make an impact on how it looks on someone. (in this case, it would just be longer)

i was in a wedding as a Bridesmaid or Best Man and we ordered dresses online with a store that had great return policies, so we had to take measurements, then order and try on when it arrived.  mine originally didn’t fit, but I sent it back just fine and the second one was perfect.

If you had posted a different type of dress, I would say just order it and it will work out.  However, my concern is that the fit of that dress could very well not be flattering on plus size bridesmaids.  I think hotchild’s dress she posted may be more flattering in a plus size, since it has an empire waist and a full skirt.

I also agree with Mimi29…the dress is nice, but it is very similar to your wedding dress.  Are you sure you wouldn’t want to stand out more?

@JuneBride: It sure is: Style F12723

I think maybe if they tried that on, you could get a good idea of how the longer one would look.
