Since T and I got engaged, the last 2 days have been basically a blur with my phone ringing off the hook and my 3bffs (and bm’s) calling constantly and then getting more design tips from sis and aunt (the retired designer).
We’re going to do our best to just enjoy most of the holidays and then slowly begin to immerse ourselves into “wedding mode”.
Sorry I have been a bit scarce, but it’s just the whole engagement glowy thing that’s just now getting to me. It was a long road coming to that point where we had that moment..and it was a moment of a lifetime!
I still look down at my hand and it seems so wierd to see it on my hand. It’s prettier than even what I had told T I had wanted back in December a year ago. Sometimes it feels like I’m trying on somebody else’s ring or something. It is almost like “pinch me I’m dreaming” still..so that’s wierd. I am just not used to being overwhelmed by anything really.
So this week I’ll begin slowly to begin shifting gears into the wedding mode and finally get around to updating my blog and getting back into the swing of things here. I think it’s going to be so much fun!
The only thing that is NOT going to be fun is moving. I hate moving. But I’m going to love where we’re going to live!!! Luckily I’ve done a lease purchase the last 2.5 years and only need to give 60 days notice before moving out so there’s alot of flexibility with us. I can’t wait to have all of us under the same roof!
Anyhow, please pardon my absence. I’ve been down with a case of “overwhelm-itis” which was precipitated by frequent flashes of light hitting my brain caused by an alien object on the fourth finger of my left hand.

I’ve had my ring for three months and I still get caught looking down at it. Sometimes admiring it, sometimes in total disbelief that there is a ring on my finger. So expect that feeling to last for awhile.

Don’t worry about it! We’ve been engaged since August and I’m still overwhelmed! I too, HATE moving. We still haven’t totally unpacked since moving into the house!
Good luck getting settled. How has your son responded to the engagement news?

LOL I’ve been married for 2 years and I still look at my rings in awe! Enjoy yourself Bellenga! You’ve earned it!!

You should be basking in that engagement “glow”, Belle! Take your vitamins, girl, cause you’ve got a lot going on! Me, too. We were organizing and getting rid of stuff all last weekend and now the packing’s going to start as we are moving 1st week of January!
I know you’ve got most of the wedding planned already and all you have to do is execute, right?

*hugs* Bellenga, you are the most awesome person EVER and no one is going to begrudge you engjoying your engagement status or being away from us because of it! Are you applying to be a bee? I meant to ask you that the other day but I totally forgot!

YES, you MUST apply to be a Bee!!

I am seriously thinking about it. Thanks!
It’s just crazy.
We’ve got two Christmas trees at two houses. NEITHER of which are finished w/the decorations! lol!
Hopefully tonight my son and I can get around to doing that. Tomorrow night I’ll hopefully try to get back to some semblance of normalcy and have T over for dinner and do the normal family thing at my house.
This two house stuff is crazzzzy!
My son btw is overjoyed. He was jumping up and down saturday night when we called him.

Awwww I’m so glad he’s excited! I meant to tell you that you have two very handsome men in your life. T is a great looking guy, and your son is going to be quite the heartbreaker!
Don’t feel bad about the Christmas decorations! I only have my little apartment and there are Christmas decorations all over the floor. It looks insane and I just don’t have the motivation to put them up! The floor needs decoration too…

I do feel better now. Thanks Ksull!
The whole thing is wierd. I’m gettin’ better though. It’s just like everything has suddenly hit me..I have to do all of this in 2010..that’s only 9 mos or 8 mos away.

How cute?! Definitely take some time and have a christmas decoration party with T, your little one, and T’s daughter.. they’d all love it so much :D… Have I mentioned lately how happy I am for you?!

I SO FEEL YOU on the timeframe thing. We’ll do it in 5 months. 5. Months. It’s practically wedding suicide! But it’ll all get done, and I’m doing a ton of pre-planning, like you suggested on your other thread. Really, I’d go to the courthouse tomorrow if I thought we could get away with it.
