My fiance and I are considering the Cliffs at Glassy for our ceremony location, but I am struggling to decide on my reception site. Any suggestions? We are getting married Nov. 6, 2010 with approximately 120 guests! A lot of my guests will be coming into to town for the event (from the north, this is pretty much a destination wedding for most guests) so we need lodging as well.
Any help or suggestions would be wonderful, I look forward to the great feedback!

I am really close to you, Im from Kings Mountain, NC and actually a wedding photographer! I have photographed many events in your area and also photographed a wedding at the Ciffs at Glassy. If you have not been there yet, you must go take a tour! It is absolutely breathtaking! The view from the chapel goes on for miles and mile and the church itself is gorgeous! As for reception venues you are not far from Spartanburg at all. The Marriott downtown Spartanburg is a great venue to consider!
If you need any help with anything dont hesitate to ask! The Cliffs and Marriott are wonderfu; people to work with! Congrats on getting married, you picked a great date by the way!

Hello and Congratulations on your engagement…Cliffs of Glassy is a wonderful venue and my favorite…great choice! Most receptions at this venue are held at LaBastide Country Inn which is close by. Here’s a link: http://www.cliffscommunities.com/la-bastide
Walnut Lane Inn is a nice B&B for guest accommodations in Landrum: http://www.walnutlaneinn.com – many weddings and receptions here as well. The owners are Hoyt and David.
Also, Red Horse Inn in Landrum- Mary and Rogers Wolters, owners. http://www.TheRedHorseInn.com and
Pine Crest Inn in Tyron, NC – http://www.PineCrestInn.com – 35 guest rooms, deluxe suites and private cottages. The owner is Carl Caudle.
Please tell any that you contact that I referred you. 😉
You can Google “Accommodations Landrum, SC” for more choices. Let me know if you need anything else and good luck in your search! Brenda~ Wedding Officiant & Minister – http:WeddingWoman.net
