I’m having a fairly casual, laid back but still stylish wedding next April. When looking for something to wear to a wedding this past weekend I found the Victoria’s Secret convertible dress, which I fell in love with. I also thought that perhaps it would be a good thing for my BM’s to wear as their dresses because it’s so versatile. I feel bad having them shell out money for a dress they’ll wear once (note my two sisters are still young and will probably have my mom help them pay for part if not all of the dress.) Is this too casual? Or is it a brilliant idea? Opinons please!
Here’s a link to the site with the dress, also it would be in fiesta red for my Bridesmaid or Best Man: http://www2.victoriassecret.com/collection/?cgname=OSCLODRSCVT&cgnbr=OSCLODRSCVT&rfnbr=5983

I think it’s great. It totally gives them the option to wear it other ways in the future.

Another company markets this dress as a bridesmaid dress, only with a way higher markup. I think this is a great option! Just be sure everyone gets plenty of practice beforehand with their dress style so no one is left scratching their heads on the day of!

I think its a great idea! If its not formal enough as noted above; Dessy Makes a convertible Bridesmaid or Best Man dress that is a bit more dressy but also more $$.

I’ve been looking for an excuse to buy one of those! They’re adorable…and I love the idea of using them as a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. Plus, you can’t beat the $ of it!

THat looks awesome! I would order early, since VS sizing can be a bitch. You don’t want to be to close to the wedding and realize that they won’t work out for you and then scrambling for a replacement. But if they work for all your girls, I say go for it!!

Butter by Nadia makes one in a gorgeous Satin. They ARE kind of expensive. Also a company called Two Birds I believe makes one. They are like $200. BUT, helloooo you can totally rewear them. I’d rather spend more money on something like that!

I like it and it looks like they would have a lot of options for wearing the dress again.

I love it! thats very awesome!
I have a laid back more casual styled converstable dress (its cotton from American Apperal) I actually have the same dress in 3 different colors and styles (one is a fitted pencil type dress, the other is very flowy at the bottom) I wear them all the time cause I can mix up the colors, and it looks like I am wearing different stuff all the time!
I think its a brilliant idea

That’s such a great idea! In looking for my BM’s dresses, I want them to be able to wear the dresses again! That’s a good idea, not sure if they would wear the other dresses, I would if I had to buy one, haha.
