Yesterday my SO and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary and it was wonderful! We spent the whole day together ending with a delicious dinner at a really nice restaurant. A couple of months ago we had a timeline discussion and he said he thinks that being together between 2-3 years will be the right time to get engaged. So now to just be patient! I’m so excited though to think that by this time next year I will be engaged to my wonderful man!

@kanneb: Happy anniversary–it was our 2 year dating anniversary yesterday, too!
We enjoyed a really low-key, relaxing day and then a great dinner at a hip, new-ish ramen place by us.
Our timeline is basically the same as yours: wonderful boyfriend said it would happen next year, and I don’t think he’d drag it out beyond our 3 year anniversary. It is totally crazy to think that we started dating 2 years ago, we’re preparing for an international move together now, and next year we’ll be engaged!

Happy Anniversary to you guys too! How exciting – an international move! Where are you moving to?
I’m really hoping my guy doesn’t wait until next year but at the same time I’m trying to tell myself it will be much closer to our 3 year anniversary so I don’t get my hopes up too much.
I see you are in the Bay Area. We are heading to SF this weekend for vacation! I live in San Diego and we are taking a road trip along the coast starting Wed. I can’t wait!

We’re headed to Venezuela for 6 months for my guy’s job–it’s definitely going to be an adventure!
The move is actually great in terms of waiting because I know FOR SURE that it will not be coming until we get back in March/April. There would be no way for BF to get a ring down there, and I wouldn’t be able to wear it anyways (no jewelry when you’re out and about because getting mugged is really common), so my impatience has kind of gone dormant.
Have a great time in SF! I live across the Bay, but I love going into the city! Message me if you need any restaurant or activity recs!

How exciting!! I had a similar timeline, and it’s hard to believe we are now almost to the end of that one year wait!!
Good luck, the time will fly!
