I have always been amazed with what guys eat and what kind of foods they like to put together.
I can make a long list of the craziest food combinations, but instead of that I will tell you what he did today.
He ate barbecue chips with barbecue sauce on top. Talk about a barbecue redundancy.lol
Okay bees, what crazy food combos has your man eaten?

This isn’t about food combos per se, but my Fiance is famous for choosing the most ‘out there’ option on a menu and ordering it. Off the top of my head, I’ve seen him eat tongue, pigs head, frogs legs, blood sausage, and bison tartare (raw bison)…I could go on and on. I do love how adventerous/open minded he is though!

A while back we had leftover taco meat in the fridge, but no lettuce left so he put canned sweet peas on his taco instead.

Hardboiled egg sandwich seasoned with soy sauce. Guess we were out of salf.

My Fiance is super healthy…. so he makes these “green” smoothies every morning with:
spinach, raw egg whites (they’re pasteurized), flax seed, chia seeds, spirulina, fresh berries, tart cherry juice (highest antioxidants of any fruit), Metamucil, coconut milk, cocoa nibs…
I’m sure I’m forgetting some some “superfood” that he puts in there and when it’s all blended it looks like swamp water. I admire his self discipline though! He works 70 hr work weeks and still eats super healthy and works out almost every day.
Also, his snack every night is greek yogurt, spirulina, Crystal Light and toasted flax seed. It’s actually not that bad… but maybe a little too “nutritious” for my palate.
The weirdest snack that I saw him eat was broccoli with mustard. That was weird!

Hm. Well, growing up, my mom would put grape jelly on the outside of our grilled cheese sandwiches. It wasn’t bad, but I still don’t think it goes together.
She apparently picked it up from grandma (her mom) who would put the jelly on the outside to hide the burnt toast. lol
If I think of something weird that Darling Husband eats together, I’ll let you know, but I think I’m the one that eats the oddest food combos out of the two of us. 🙂

Fiance loves airpopped popcorn with spritzes of butter flavoured Pam and sprinkles of nutritional yeast. I admit it’s super healthy, but seems so weird to me.

but then again I put yellow mustard on salad, so I can’t hate

@teamajax13: OooO… I actually do that too! It’s pretty yummy! (Ketchup on chips) I sometimes do a ketchup/mayo mixture with chips too.

Nope, Im the weird one between the two of us! Peanut butter bacon sandwiches and I put potato chips on my sandwiches as well. I dont think its weird at all and I know more than 1 person who eats like that! SO just thinks Im weird!
I know they are fully cooked, but my SO does eat cold hot dogs out of the fridge and eat them with mustard. I thinks its weird and gross at the same time!

Darling Husband likes maple syrup on grilled cheese sandwiches.

@misschickpea: My uncle eats hot dogs right out of the package! It’s so weird!
Fi LOVES French dressing, ranch dressing, BBQ sauce, and ketchup. I could make a perfectly cooked ribeye steak on the grill and he would still dip it in one of those condiments. I’ve learned to look the other way.

Those are all very common in real Chinese food.
I’m Chinese…..’nuff said. 😀

@cz1789: mines the same way. i think the oddest thing he ever ordered was “grasshopper tacos”. he also had frog legs at a dimsum. he said it tasted like chicken.
