@Gerbera True, as well as with other nationalities/ethnicities too (we had the blood sausage and bison tartare in a brit pub type restaurant for instance.)

@MASPA I’m curious—what was the grasshopper taco like? Did you taste it?

@cz1789:  no i couldnt bring myself to do it.  Im not that bold.  He said it was crunchy and he ate the whole thing so I assume he enjoyed it.

Darling Husband eats hot sauce on EVERYTHING…. pizza, burgers, pasta, cheese, sandwiches, eggs, bacon, toast… everything.  It grosses me out, but if he is happy, that’s fine!

He also puts pepper on his ice cream.  He said he read somewhere that it eliminates brain freeze and you can’t taste it.  I have never tried it, so I don’t know if that’s true or if it adds a little zing. 😉

@Earlybride: speaking of redundancy, my SO likes to eat tortilla chips dipped into creamed corn.. i’ve tried it and it doesn’t do a thing for me, but it’s one of his favorite snacks!

@piglet_625: Ahh you beat me to it!!!

Seriously super hot sauce on everything. After seeing how much pepper he dumped in his soup yesterday I think the hot sauce has fried his taste buds. We had to bring hot sauce back from Jamaica with us.

Also, weird but I love it, fried eggs and rice.

He has a few weird food quirks. Mostly due to his mothers lack of cooking skills when he was growing up. I noticed if I make a cake, he will put a piece of cake in a bowl and pour milk over it and eat it with a spoon. Finally, I asked him why he did that and he said when he was a kid, his mother wasn’t much of a baker and her cakes were really dry, and that was the only way to make them edible. Now he just likes cake that way. I think I will make sure he has a bowl and some milk for his piece of wedding cake!

Not a combination but Fiance eats kiwi fruits with the skin on. He also drinks the green water after we have boiled brocoli and heats up tinned tomatoes and then puts them on toast… Oh and he makes gravy and drinks it like acup of tea/ coffee. All of these things make my stomach turn!!!

Darling Husband has put mac and cheese (frozen)…in a tortilla, rolled it up and ate it for dinner. Gross.

There are some more nasty one’s. He bought cookie dough from costco and ate all of it, raw.
