My honey looks like a big ole bad biker guy (He seriously looks like a movie typecast, shaved head, goatee, totally tatted out etc…) but he’s really my big ole teddy bear.  He dyes my hair whenever I want, he helps me pick out clothes (color deficient and synaesthetic…. I CANNOT match clothes to save my life) when we go shopping, he’s learning to cook for me, watches food porn with me, and puts up with me when I get all psycho crazy and just waits for sane me to return to earth so he can tell me he loves me.

Oh! One of my favorite things he did for me was when I was having just a really awful couple of days.  You know those? Anything and everything that could go wrong was going wrong.  He kept asking what he could do to help because he hated seeing me so sad.  I said I didn’t know, buy me flowers or something. I was being more sarcastic than anything and immediately told him so when I realized he was headed to the store to get me flowers and candy (I’m not a flowers/candy girl). I explained that they just die anyway and it’s money we really shouldn’t spend anyway.  Two days later I come home for lunch and find these at my doorstep:

@Jacqui90:  I have the same. On really bad days where I’m basically crying ALL night, he’ll hug me until I fall asleep even if it means he only gets 3h of sleep that night and gets covered in snot 🙂 (when I apologize he says the tears will make his chest hair grow like grass, it’s ridiculous)

And when I’m super stressed out he brings me hot fresh dinners to work. Annnnnnd he always tells me how sexy I am even when I’m depressed and possibly haven’t showered enough and feeling really gross. lol

He also drives me everywhere. I hate driving. It’s awesome. And recently when my car broke down he drove me home, drove back to tow the car, took care of all of the mechanics stuff, and helped me clean it out and sell it. That was such a big help and time saver.

OH and he’s my personal clothes shopper, I HATE clothes shopping but he has really good taste and everything he’s picked out for me and convinced me to buy I actually end up wearing a lot. If it weren’t for him I’d still be wearing the same worn out jeans and t-shirts everyday for years.

In high school, my SO would get up early to come see me. I was one of the first cases of H1N1 where I live. He would make sure I took my meds and ate so I wouldn’t throw them up. He memorized my favorite brand of lady products in case I ever need any. He cooks for me. He cleans. He gives me the biggest hugs and pops my back. He knows all my cues for when I am in pain. I never tell anyone and just deal with it. A slight change in my posture and he knows I’m hurting. (Bad knee problems from dance) He will wash my hair and brush it. He will help me straighten it if I missed a spot. There is so much more that he does for me. One thing that isn’t for me is that he is amazing with children of all ages. I can’t help but to stare at him and smile when he is playing with his cousins. We are all lucky to each have an amazing man in our lives. It’s nice to be able to brag on him.

My Fiance knows i me better than most, he knows when i have the starts of a migraine comming on and will immediately get up and get me some excedrine migraine a cup of coffee, and turns down the lights and tv for me….before i even have to say im hurting he just knows….

he knows when im about to get a visit from AF, and will routinely make pit stops on the way home from work to get my favorite candybar….

but my favorite….i busted up my arm a few years ago and he would help me shower everyday…shaved my legs and other areas for me….but what gets me is he helps me wax my eyebrows….like routinely….its funny lol….hes more of a perfectionist about it then i am….

he also LOVES to braid my hair….he can do an awesome french braid….it legit looks better then when i do it….

he also lets me practice assessment skills on him, ie reflex checks while im going to nurse practitioner school….its adorable, he is the model patient….if only my real ones were that easy… Tongue Out

@MsLesPaul:  Thats too cute! And amazing how your furkid slightly smirking like how my Chi always does when we complimented him ‘good boy, mojo sano!’

Alot of sweet posts i read here that makes me smiles. My Fiance is manly man, Thor, Khal Drago types. So he isnt very lovey dovey romantic but he have done alot to makes me feel special. We been together for 6 years, but one thing that i think is very sweet would be sometimes when at night while i already fell asleep he will ‘talk’ to me. Im that kinda person who sleep ‘dead’ but sometimes i wasnt really deep in my sleep.. He will sit on the bed and talking to me from his heart. He would talk about us, how much we went thru in life, about future, how much he loves me, etc like it was his fragile moments. There was time he was even shed a tears! I vaguely remember once i turned around looking at him and i said ‘Bnie… What are u doing..come hold me..’ haha totally cant function when im sleepy but when he hold me, for years he always kisses my back when i sleep.

He brushes my hair for me when I have hard-to-reach knots. It’s down to my hips and gets badly tangled from time to time. He’s super gentle, gets all the tangles out, and never complains.

He does little things to cheer me up after I’ve had a bad day.  Like today, I was having a problem with our dogs not behaving, combined with a very long work week where I worked late every night, as did Fiance and I actually started crying on the phone to him just out of frustration.  To cheer me up he found he got me a key chain at the gas station that he found when he stopped to put gas.  He thought I would really like it since its a sparkley purse and I love purses and picked it up as he put it “to put a smile on my face.”

@Missknicole:  Fiance never had to do anything that drastic for me, but when I had a breast reduction last summer, he helped me empty my drains, woke up every 4 hours to make sure I took my meds on time and wasn’t in pain/didn’t need anything, he changed my dressings, and said that if I needed any help in the bathroom, no matter what it was, he’d help. I wasn’t sure what all I’d be able to do on my own, so he waited outside the door (unlocked obviously) in case I needed any help. I can’t imagine that was fun at all.

I also love that he remembers small little things. When we were first living together we went shopping for a dress for me to wear to a wedding. I found 2 dresses that I loved, but one was out of my budget, and not entirely wedding appropriate (it was black and pretty short). Fiance asked the salesperson my size (without me knowing), and went back the next day and bought it for me for my birthday. Just after Christmas, I made a one off remark about how I’d really like a jewelry box. Well guess what I got for my birthday this week? Yep, a jewelry box. I had forgotten I had said that even! I opened it and was all “You know I was just thinking the other day that I could use a jewelry box” and he said “Yeah, you said you wanted one just after Christmas, so I got you one.”

My SO does everything for me and reads my mind. I don’t even make coherent sentences anymore, I start going UHhhh uHhh and start reaching for something he knows what it is

I start coughing and he’ll get me water. For a girl who is completely planned out her career and major life decisions, I can’t keep myself decently fed and watered!

And when I’m being mean and a jerk, I get punished with cuddles and kisses that I can’t get out of, he will literally sit on top of me and kiss me till my attitude changes…and it always does… <3

@elliptical2013:

How sweet! My husband coaxes me out of bad moods too. He just keeps on kissing me, cuddling me and calling me by my little pet names he has for me. I can’t help but smile.

My husband puts up with my issues from my past. I have been through A LOT and he gently helps me work through all that stuff.
