conillina:  Love your ring! I am such a sucker for east to west set stones.

My small east to west set garnet.

My e-ring is .25 ct on a 2.0 mm setting.  I think my wedding band is around 1/3 on 3 mm.  Ring size is 5.5.

Hello! I don’t have an engagement ring yet, but my SO and I are in the process of choosing one and I love this trend of tiny engagement rings. I’m going into social work, and don’t want to wear a ring to work (or ever) that flaunts a certain social status? I love the idea of little romantic understated rings:) This one from Catbird is my top choice but my SO thinks it doesn’t look “substantial” enough to be an e-ring. I love it for that reason though. What do you guys honestly think?

I still don’t know if I like yellow or white gold better:P

Also, the center is stone is 0.10 carats and 3mm and the side stoned are 0.04 carats and 2mm each. So it really is quite tiny

circumambient:  I love it! You’re the one who has to wear it everyday, not your fiance… and costwise it’s not like it’s a budget ring! XD

I would try on similair sized rings so you know what it looks like on your finger. We went with a 4mm sapphire solitaire and I’m really happy with it, but it is not substantial by anymeans. One coworker went “oh” when I showed it to her, so be prepared for some mild judgement.

My other worry with Catbird is that you’re paying extra for the “brand”. Have you looked around at your local jewelers? Check out thier custom work while you’re trying on dainty rings 🙂

My late 1920s engagment ring and wedding band, pictured with my husband’s band. Bought them all seperately but I think they go well together and they are definately dainty! I usually wear the wedding band alone and I think it’s maybe 1.5 mm

So many gorgeous rings! I’m kind of regretting the size of my new ring!
