Has anyone else felt this or is it just me?
i put a deposit on my dress yesterday. After trying on close to 30 dresses in various styles I picked it. It wasnt what I thought Id go for but it was just ‘me’. I felt so comfortable, looked good (as much as it could being not the perfect size!) and the reactions I got from my mum and BMs sealed the deal. I was prancing around the shop and didnt want to take it off!
Yesterday I was on a real high.
Now Im panicing! Not enough detail, not shiny enough? too ‘big’?will my fiance like it?
Whats wrong with me!? I felt amazing yesterday!

Do you have pictures? It’s a big purchase, so I can see why you are panicky. But, you explained why you love the dress, and why you chose it, so I’m sure it’s great! Add extra “detail” or “bling” with your accessories, if you are really worried.

Show us! I’m sure it’s just panic. Remember there was a reason you loved it in the first place!

I freaked out afterward too but I’m calm and happy with my choice now. You’ll get there!

I think what you’re feeling is totally normal! You made a big decison, so you want to be sure you made the right one! You said it was just “you”, so it sounds like you found your dress 🙂

You’re normal! I had a great experience dress shopping and I totally loved my dress and felt very confident it was the one. But then after a few days I felt the same panic you’re talking about–in my case, part of it was that the photos I have of me in the dress aren’t great (I can’t see the detail, which is one of my favorite parts about the dress). BUT I keep reminding myself how good I felt in it, and how I didn’t want to take it off. Deep down I know it’s my dress.
Worst case scenario, could you make an appointment to try it on again? NOT to try on other dresses, just to have a date with your dress and remember why it’s the right one.

@tulleprincess: OMG I did the same exact thing 2 weeks ago- I sat on my couch crying all night, thinking I’d ordered the wrong dress. Then I googled “bought a wedding dress, feeling buyer’s remorse” and up came the weddingbee boards. Apparently, it’s totally normal!! I am feeling a little better about it now, but still stressed! Looking forward to going back to the boutique with my sister and having her tell me whawt a great dress I chose.

I think a lot of us have a bit of doubt or at least I did after buying my dress. However, once I tried it on at home after the purchase I knew I’d made the right decision. The easiest thing to do for yourself is to stop looking at other dresses. Continuing to look at dress I think may add to your doubt. I’ve not looked at other dresses since I made my purchase. For me the most exciting part is watching the dress fit better and better as the extra weight comes off 🙂

It’s a big purchase (both monetarily and symbolically)…I think it’s completely normal to have a little doubt. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. You wouldn’t have been prancing around like that if you didn’t feel good in it! 🙂
