tbenjamin4884 :  Your solitaire is beautiful. You don’t see many marquise any more. Have you decided on a band yet?

heputaringonit :  I’m glad to know I’m not not the only one with these first world real estate problems…lol. It’s amazing how some hands and fingers can hold 2,3,4 rings and to me it seems like my fingers need the jaws of life to wear 2.lol…I got my plain band to stack between my solitaire and half eternity to cut down on the rubbing but it feels like a bit much when I wear it but I’m so afraid of wearing it without the band between them because of the issue of prong wear and tear. I also find myself wearing my solitaire alone alot for the same reasons.

Here’s mine! Ahhh not idea what band to pair with it. I was thinking a plain rose gold to match? Maybe a twisted rose gold plain?

redearthlady :  Thank you so very much. I know, marquise are still not very popular, but I became obsessed with them recently, ever since my jeweler showed me one (the one I got) I wanted to think about it before I took the plunge into the marquise world, and just found the history and “rareness” super appealing. I also discovered this site and all you lovely ladies and it really helped me move forward with the marquise. I had a 1.37 round and I traded it and my band for my solitaire that I have now. No band yet, I love your simple yet showstopper of a ring… The marquise is new to me but I really think I will do a couple super dainty bands or one simple one, keeping it classic. Just still not sure yet. I LOVE YOUR RING! It is very beautiful!

tbenjamin4884 :  I think you made an excellent choice with your marquise! It’s a very flattering shape and the great thing about a solitaire is you can pair it with anything!

naturelovebee :  Your ring is a showstopper! I think it would be lovely with either a plain or twist band, another option I think would look nice is a diamond scalloped band that echos the shape of your center stone.

ready4thewedding :  Your ring is beautiful!

sweet71 :  Thanks you I appreciate the compliment but it’s actually rose gold. It must be the lighting in the pics. I love it because the rose isn’t too pink, it’s more subtle.

sweet71 :   I wasn’t offended at all. I actually love all colors of gold, especially 2&3 tone pieces like my Cartier trinity. That’s why I’m so glad it’s a subtle pink gold. It is soft and kind of monochromatic to my skin tone so it easily mixes and matches with my other jewelry pieces. I love how it basically looks like the stone is just floating on my skin.

bezel :  Your set is beautiful. I love the miligrain details on the bezels. It’s also the perfect size for your hand
