When guys think of color, they don’t think of a mocha belt that barely stands out from a dress. Trust me. And he won’t even realize that the dress isn’t technically labelled “white”.

I had some dress regret. Just trust your gut, know that there will always be other dresses that you like, and that you chose this one for a reason. You’re going to be beautiful in it.

I ordered a blush dress without a second thought because I loved it and I know that when my Fiance sees me feeling so beautiful and happy when I walk down the aisle he won’t even notice the color. Your dress is stunning and if you feel gorgeous when you have it on that is all you need–it will show on your big day!

@MidwestBride2012:  Your dress is fine the color difference is subtle. On a different note, WTF MIL? Let it slip what your dress was like? How does that slip out? The one secret of the wedding she can’t keep.

Do you have any pics of you in the dress?

It’s funny that guys get the idea of a “perfect dress” in their heads, too.  Maybe he’s picturing some wild multicolored thing right now.  I doubt he’ll even see the color (which is very subtle) when you wear it- he’ll just see you looking beautiful.  You love the dress and I’m sure he will too!

I think it’s beautiful! And I agree that to guys color on a dress would mean something totally different. When he sees you in it he will be so happy that he won’t notice it “having color” since its so subtle.

I’m sure your fiance is going to love you in that dress. I wouldn’t worry about him or what he thinks he will see. All his images will change when he sees you all done up walking down the aisle. Stay confident!

Let me assure you that, to a man, ivory IS white.  They’re men.  They don’t pick up on subtle differences in shade.  My husband didn’t even know there *were* shades of white.  He thought ivory, cream and ecru were all white.  Oh, men.

MrsAFPilot:  Exactly – I remember showing my partner pics of all different dresses “This is white, this is ivory, this is champagne…” he can’t tell the difference and, unless you’ll be standing against something pure white, I’ll bet your fiance won’t notice the difference either.

I 100% agree with the above comments.  Your dress is gorgeous, and I bet he is thinking you bought some crazy colorful thing.  And he still gets to see you in white – ivory totally counts as white here!  So few wedding dresses are actually white white.  Stand strong for the next year – just remember how you felt when you had the dress on.

P.S.  I just showed pics of your dress to my fiance and asked him what color it was.  He said “It’s totally white” (with no prompting).

I dont think this would even qualify as “not white” on a guy’s opinion and the part about being mor than one color, the sash is such a pretty subtle color, I dont think it would make a difference to the groom!  It’s beautiful!!!
