Just wait ’til everyone and their brother starts having babies and it’s all you can think about. 😛

lol. at least your SO got the hint. Mine would not. I hate to admit this, but there were times where I’d break into tears when I saw the dreaded fb update :(.

@Juliepants:  so true! Now I keep seeing baby bump photos and all I can think is ugggggggh

Lol… when I got engaged I saw a mutual friend posted on another friends wall “Looks like you two were the only one who didn’t get the memo. It’s engagement season!”

I felt bad for this poor girl, who’s been with her SO for quite some time as well. But I was also a litle miffed that this friend had posted that within minutes of my engagement announcements, and in broad daylight for me to see!

Prior to that, I remember being the one thinking “Crap…another one got enagaged!”

Haha I am the first person in my group of friends to get engaged (there are other friends of friends that are engaged or married but I don’t count them) so I only had one Facebook moment. It was a girl I am no longer friends with and the catalyst for our friendship ending was this super scummy boyfriend of hers so when I found out she was engaged to the aformentioned scummy boyfriend it totally knocked the wind out of me. If only I had known at the time that Fiance had already bought the ring!

hehe we went through a phase where EVERYONE was getting engaged and it was quite intense. I just try to shrug it off now!

Hah- I WISH he got the hint. I say something like “So-and-so got engaged” (maaaaybe with a meaningful emphasis on the statement…?) and all he responds with is “oh thats nice.” Sigh. At least the “no pressure” remark indicates that its somewhat on his mind, yes?

For me, even more annoying was when I’d scour their photos later on for glimpses of the e-ring (just to appease my ring curiosity), and OF COURSE there are TONNES of pictures of the bride-to-be’s right hand, but mysteriously none of the left.

Ahh! I remember going through a time where I would not check Facebook for a few days before and after major holidays. It was a weird feeling…I’d feel happy for the engaged couple, sad and angry that we weren’t at that stage yet, then angry at myself for feeling angry…it was a great roller coaster of emotions! The baby one is hitting now. I just keep reminding myself that although it would be great, there are drawbacks to every situation. It’s hard to think of them as drawbacks, but sometimes…it does help.
