If you’re late it’s not too early to take a test. Put your mind at ease and just take a HPT. If it’s positive, go from there. If it’s negative, at least you know.

@BlueDolphin: You don’t have to wait 5 weeks. You can take a test the day you are officially late. It’s recommended to take the test in the morning because more hormones are in the first urine of the day. They make tests for before you’ve missed your period and they are acurate, so take one now and chances are the result is correct. Good Luck.

Tomorrow or the next day, get yourself one of those “First Response” tests or whatever. Most of them come with two in the pack, so you can take one today and one the next day. If one or both of them is positive, you can get yourself down to Planned Parenthood at your convenience for a professional test. I think you’ll feel better if you’re proactive.

@BlueDolphin: You ONLY have 5? Hm, for me I took it the exact day my period was due and it only took one to give me a positive.

I know you are already married, but I am currently engaged and every month at that time of the month I go “PLEASE DONT BE PREGNANT OR YOU WONT FIT INTO YOUR WEDDING DRESS!” without being late. I know what you mean about worrying for being barely late. Maybe you’re late because you recently have a new lady friend you spend time with? Women will try to menstruate together, so maybe you’re just delayed because your body is trying to “tune into” a new co-worker, room mate, or friend?
