- Wedding: June 2011
I’m a massive slacker. I’ve been married 75 days (I didn’t count…. The Knot tools told me so) and I *just* started writing out my thank you cards.
I didn’t intend to wait so long. I even wrote down all names from the cards we opened the night of the wedding (we wanted the cash for our honeymoon :D) with the intention of writing TYs on the plane…. then I forgot to grab cards. Woops.
Then, I meant to do the “Write it as you open it” trick, since that seems practical and easy… but again, it didn’t happen. Darling Husband and I were tired, jet lagged, and came home to a living room full of boxes. We wanted them opened and put away, pronto.
So, after 2 months of dragging my feet and not writing a single Thank You, what do you suppose is motivating me?
I have been daydreaming for weeks about sending out cute holiday cards to our family and friends, with a gorgeous photo of us being adorable and married. The annual “Family Photo” card, if you will.
And I know Hubs won’t let me send any out if our TYs aren’t done….. so, I must trudge on.
