- Wedding: June 2012
So here’s the deal. Since i was little my aunt has wanted to get my wedding dress. She’s gone on every prom and homecoming trip and spent eight hours at the mall trying to find awkward teenage me a dress I wouldn’t look silly in. now the day is somewhat around the corner and I’m starting to feel a bit of guilt. I know she still wants to pay for the dress but I don’t want to pick something too expensive. She has a kid going to college starting this coming fall, another she’s sending to Catholic high school, and all the usual life payments. I’m fine with getting any dress really but also have a few in mind that I think would be pretty. When split with another bride they seem reasonable but for just me that price isn’t worth it. Don’t worry, I haven’t gotten my heart set on one dress and won’t die if I don’t get any of the ones I like, but hive, have you ever split a dress cost? What’s been the experience of buying used? Does the one to wear it first pay more than half or half? This notion of sharing costs is new and thrilling (I’m currently scouring Goodwills for fun) but a bit strange since it’s a big day.
