I vote no on the corset, the beading down the whole train is one of my favorite things on that dress!

I may be wrong, but I don’t think that Davids Bridal will do those kinds of alterations to dresses, so you’ll have to find an independant seamstress.  A friend was looking at the tea length illusion neck Oleg, and mentioned wanting to change the sleeve shape, and the consultant said that they can’t change the dresses for certain designers, they can only take them in or hem them.

What about a wider belt for more of a statement from the front?

Or something like this?

The problem you’ll run into with that neckline is matching the lace. It is almost impossible to match lace on a wedding dress.

I tried this dress on and it was a serious contender. I felt something was missing on the front as well, and also thought I had a “uni-boob” look. I think it looks really great on you though. It’s hard to tell close up, but I the thin belt would looks awesome.

Ladybug16:  Are you planning a DIY? I would definitely talk to a professional on this one. I am sure it can all be done but they can tell you how much it will change the look of the dress.

Ladybug16:  Phew! lol. Whenever I hear about someone trying to make alterations on their own dress I get so scared.

If you haven’t bought it yet then maybe don’t bother with something that needs alterations, just look for a different dress?

It looks so good on you as it is that I’d be reluctant to mess with it other than to add the small, thin diamante belt (a simple touch to enhance it’s lovliness).

I like the classic neckline it has.
