That dress was made for someone with a pear shape!  So glad you tried it on.  I think many people skip the fit and flare style because they don’t think it will fit their body shape, but it truly looks best on someone with some hips!   You look amazing!

@waterbaby:  I’m a pear and looooooooooove to see fellow pear shaped women rock their shape. I love my hips and thighs tho (took some time to get there lol) and love the fact that my waist always look so tiny. I’m designing my dress and it’s pretty much that shape with lace and a handmade flower textured skirt. Embrace that gown hun you are stunning in it. Your FH will have the biggest smile thinking he’s the lucky guys ever when he sees you in that dress.

Your Primrose dress is stunning on you!!!

I didn’t have a crying experience (I personally feel it’s overrated!) but I had a similar experience to what you felt for your second dress. I knew mine was the one because I didn’t want to take it off. I kept wanting to put it back on after trying on other dresses. I kept gawking at my dress from all angles:) Post-wedding, I have no regrets! Go with your gut!

You chose right! When I first read the title of this I kept reading on the boards but then I thought about it…I had a dress that made me smile! It made me happy when I tried it on because it was so much fun. I was huuuuge on me so it didn’t fit right and it was an extreme a-line/ballgown. I ended up with a mermaid and I love it – my dress makes me so happy and I did start to tear up a bit but I wish I could have the other dress to just to, you know, wear while running errands ๐Ÿ˜‰

Congrats on finding your perfect dress! It looks amazing on you, your body shape is perfect for fit and flares! I thought I couldn’t pull off styles like that either and then once I tried them on, everything else looked not quite right.

@waterbaby:  Thanks for the picture! It is great to see it on a real bride, but you’re totally right about your choice! The Casablanca is lovely, but you are WEARING the Primrose!

My Fiance picked out this amazing tulle ballgown, I looked like a princess and I cried, my sister cried and I felt litte like a kid playing dress up in Mummys wedding dress.

I am the baby of the family, the little sister and my nick name is Bubba. I loved the tulle ballgown but I wanted to look like a grown up. I am 27 and I wanted to be sexy and classy.

So I tried on a blinged out mermaid and I felt like a million bucks! I was smiling, even my Fiance liked my curves in the dress. (He still prefers the ballgown)

I couldnt stop looking at myself in the mirror, I must have looked like a loony toon smiling and twirling for ages. I hated that I had to take it off and order it in, I wanted my dress NOW! lol

I do sometimes think, did I make the right choice? Am i going to regret not getting the princess dress my Fiance picked out for me to wear? In 20yrs I might regret it. But I know that right now I am making the right choice.

My dress is Me… not 10yr old me playing dress up and dreaming of my wedding.

Close your eyes and imagine that the two dresses no longer exist.. which makes you more sad to lose?

I hope this helps a little. You are going to look amazing no matter what.

@waterbaby:  Congrats to finding your dress! I definitely didn’t cry when I found mine…but I couldn’t stop smiling…it was perfect for me.  Even if it wasn’t what I had thought I would end up wearing!

I didn’t cry at all which really surprised me.  I couldn’t stop smiling though and neither could my mom.  I was the same as you…wanted a ballgown or a-line.  I ended up with a mermaid with what’s called a “fishtail” train (or so I’ve heard lol).  I love the mermaid on you! It’s gorgeous!!  Us girls gotta look sexy on our wedding day! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Gorgeous choice!! ๐Ÿ™‚ I like your ultimate choice of MS better than the Casablanca ballgown.

I have never shed a tear during my dress hunt; I guess I probably would’ve cried though if a dress made me feel ugly. I beamed and twirled around when I found my dress! Even strangers at DB were helpful in hinting that it should be the One!
