Why don’t you take the active pills twice in a row. So skip your period twice and move it up by two weeks?

@PuntaCanaBride: I was going to suggest the same thing. I’ve done that quite a few times and I’ve only had spotting maybe twice?

You can take two packs straight and skip the entire period.  It’s actually perfectly healthy to do this – I’ve had like four different gynos (I move a lot) tell me that it’s not only fine but a great idea.

Right now I am on the ring and tend to skip 2-3 periods in a row.  The first skip does not cause me any bleeding at all.  It’s after I’ve skipped multiple months that spotting becomes a problem.

My gyno used to tell me that while things like sesonique only give you one period every three months, that you can do the same thing with any BC.  So I did that for awhile and had no issues, maybe you should talk to your gyno about pushing your period off completely till the wedding any everything is over with.  I don’t know if you PMS or not but that probably wouldn’t be good with all the other stress you’re going to have to deal with around then either.

@heatherxnicole: You’ll be totally fine. Your body will adapt no problem. It’s when you stop taking your pills that gives your body the go ahead, it’ll just keep chugging along when you piggy back your packs.

@heatherxnicole: What in the world?! I’ve never heard of that!

I moved my period by 2 weeks in the 4 months before my wedding.  The second month sucked because I had a two week long period, but it straightened out just in time.  Hopefully that will work for you too.

@heatherxnicole:  Ooops – didn’t see your reply last night.  Maybe I an misunderstanding your calendar.  But the way I read it, your wedding is right before your honeymoon.  So you can just skip that one period by skipping the placebos.  Or you can skip the month before and then skip again and then you would be skipping two.  Generally I’ve found it’s not until I try to skip a third that I start having any issues (nothing serious, but not really conducive to wearing a white dress).

@heatherxnicole:

I would suggest taking active pills every day from now until you are back from your honeymoon. You’ll know by the end of jan/beginning of feb if your body has “freaked out” and can re-evaluate then if needed. I have taken active pills straight for up to 4 months at a time. The only time I have had unexpected spotting is after I switched brands.
