I wouldn’t reply, and would also block any addresses that he tries to contact you from. I would also go to the police station and get that unwanted attention documented. You should also tell your Fiance if you haven’t already.

wow… did we date the same guy? DO NOT write back! It is one of the worst things you could do, it isn’t worth it… after a while he will probably go away. hopefully.

Please do not contact him all that does it make it worse. Just delete, ignore etc

Take it from me…I have a restraining order against someone for a “stalking” situation. It starts just like this….they always threaten to kill themselves, want to make you aware of them being alive, etc. I could go into the psychology of it but I will spare you.
no reply and make your school aware of the email situation. They can put an information block on you so if he would call and attempt to get any information he would be denied.

I kind of wish we had some mutual friend so I could figure out where he is living now a days to see if I should be worried.

I suggested what I did because haunted is the exact word that comes to mind when I remember my ex. Just one kind email could have put my mind at ease. I never went all stalker-esque, didn’t lose mental stability, but it hurt when someone I cared about completely ignored me. I’d be firm with him, and kind, and definitely make it the last contact. Closure is a powerful thing.
If he persists afterward, let the ignoring commence!
But- to all the people who say NO REPLY- if you have any worry that this guy could be harmful to you, I’d go with that!!! You know him, we don’t.
