Hi Bees 🙂
For anyone who has had “the feeling” – please explain!
I have been dress shopping and was so convinced I knew what I wanted. Lace. Sheath. Sweetheart. Easy. Maggie’s Karena Royal has been drool worthy. Then I discovered the drop waist and was convinced that once I tried on VW351020 it was the one. Loved, fit me like a glove, felt right, ah-mazing. But Karena was in the back of my mind…
I tried on the Karena yesterday. I kid you not, I was the lead in a horror movie when I stepped out of the dressing room. Literally, devastated. Until I saw Allure 8862 and it was like falling in love all over again.
Heres the hang up: I love the way the drop waist flatters my figure and I love the idea of texture on the bottom. The feeling I get from the two is completely different. The Vera screams organic, elegant, luxurious, while the Allure says soft, romantic, playful. We are getting married outside in a park in spring time, but the reception is on the rooftop downtown in the city, so it really mixes playful and elegant…ahh!
I don’t have a picture of me in the Vera on my computer, so you’ll have to bear with a stock photo, and the allure obviously was not fitting so hot….
So, ladies, how do you know? How did it feel when you walked out and KNEW the dress was the one?

I adore that second dress!

It felt like the dress was custom made for me and no one else. The color was flattering with my skin tone. The dress cut in all the right places. It didn’t overwhelm my figure. I was wearing it, not it wearing me.
Plus my Mom and grandmother burst into tears and a complete stranger told me the dress looked like it was made for me.

I just couldn’t stop touching the fabric and when I turned around it framed my tattoo like no other. Oh ya I ended up in a mini panicked attack when I found out it was nearly double what I planned on paying.

I tried on that Allure and liked it a lot. However, the dress I got made me feel so beautiful. I didn’t burst into tears or anything like that. I just didn’t want to take it off and I felt like me but a more glorious me! I was more comfortable and confident than I had been in any other dress and I tried on aboout 60. I actually didn’t get it the first time I tried it on either. I tried on some others just to make sure but that dress was still always on my mind so I tried it on a second time and I was done!

I love the second one; it looks gorgeous on you!
I knew my dress was the one when I didn’t want to take it off! I totally thought I wouldn’t have one of those moments, but as soon as I tried on my dress and didn’t want to take it off I knew it was the one for me! Good luck with your search!

I never had ‘that feeling’ when I first tried on my dress. I just loved it and compared every other dress to it. I doubted myself up til the week before my wedding day at my final fitting. I loooved it on my wedding day and am so happy I picked it!

I just didn’t want to take it off. No tears, no crazy moment where there was complete clarity in the world. I simply wanted to stare at myself in the mirror and kept putting off taking the dress off….

When I knew, it was because I spent an hour in the dress staring at it 🙂 Every other dress it was a simple, yes or no. I found it relatively easy.

I had a bit of trouble “knowing,” too. It took awhile (and another visit), but I realized it was “my dress” because I felt like myself in it. It made me feel peaceful and calm. So, sometimes that feeling is sneaky and quiet, not emotional and teary-eyed.
