I think there are a few things to consider:

1. Will you FEEL more comfortable in the bolero? If you are self-conscious about this, its the last place your energies should be focused on throughout your wedding.

2. Do you feel funny mentioning this to your photographer? A lot of times, its out of sight, out of mind.  I have really bad posture.  I am being completely honest with her and asking her to either correct it (by telling me to stand up straight) or avoid shots where it looks bad.

I think you look gorgeous!

Also,  you could consider a veil…

I think you look stunning and you don’t need the chiffon bolero!

You look beautiful! Honestly, you don’t need the bolero. I think we all focus on things that bother us when they really aren’t that bad. If you feel more comfortable with it, the chiffon one would look nice.

I don’t care too much for the chiffon bolero. It looks too structured or masculine for such a romantic silhouette. What about scalloped edge lace bolero? There are a lot of good ones on Etsy if you wanted to go that route.

I can see what you’re talking about with the back, but I don’t think it looks too bad. Have you tried loosening the strong on your corset? Or leaving the first two loops on each side undone? I also have read somewhere on here that you can fix this with tape (was of particular interest to me, because mine WILL be fat!) I will see if I can find it, but like I said, it’s really minor and doesn’t look bad as is. I may not have even noticed if you hadn’t said “hey look at my back fat”.

@mel801:  ooo I actually think you have really beautiful collar bones so I wouldn’t want to cover them with a bolero… BUT I can understand the whole back issue as well.

Make yourself comfortable! If you’re not wanting to show your bare back, don’t!

You’re over 40??? I think I hate you just a little bit. Tongue Out

I don’t think you really need the bolero, but you don’t want to be feeling self concious on your wedding day, so if it makes you happy, then go for it!
