I love this! First time I saw him I thought, ‘hmm…he is pretty cute, I guess’ We were in high school and sat at the same lunch table in the morning before homeroom, he was friends with one of my friends. We didn’t officially meet until we went sledding a few days later, I pretty much liked him from then on :)…I asked him to prom! I would like to say the rest is history, but we didn’t really hang out again until I had a sort of sleep over in a tent in my backyard, we stayed up talking all night and he asked me out the next day! I love telling this story to anyone that listens haha

We met in middle school. We we’re both in an avid class together. I don’t remeber the first time I saw or met him but I do remember the first conversation we had. We talked about hot dogs and mustard lol. It was a very weird conversation, I enjoyed every moment of it because I was being my weird self with a guy for the first time. He just listen and looked at me like I was a crazy girl lol. Of course we did not start dating until the last couple months of high school. Apparently he had been waiting for me to become interested in him. Little did he know he had my heart all along πŸ™‚

I was in line buying head phones after picking up my books for my first semester of college. This kind of cute but also kind of awkward looking guy (back when DH had girl-hair) started talking to me and he. wouldn’t. stop. talking! I was annoyed and creeped out. So after I bought my headphones I raced out of there, forgetting that my friend was also picking up her books and we were going to walk back together.

I like to remind DH that I was he was weird and creepy when I first met him.

(I thought he was much more normal and cuter when we met again a couple months later)

We met in our first year of university in a class – we were having a shouting match in a tutorial about solutions to poverty of all things, not the most romantic of starts! It took me another year to talk to him properly  and another year after that to start dating him! More than worth it in the end!

The first time I saw him was in a picture. We met online, in a “Platonic Only” section of a dating site πŸ™‚ Truly, we were just looking for friends to hang out with. First time we met in real life was to go to a movie. At one point during the movie, our arms brushed, and I got this fluttery shiver in my tummy. I turned to look at him and he must have felt it too because he turned to look at me at the exact same time. We were so close to each other, and I thought, “Wow, he has beautiful eyes!”

Funny thing is, I was dating someone else at the time, long-distance, so I didn’t really look at him and think, “Oh, what a hottie, I want to date him!” Fast-forward 4 months, we had been celebrating my college graduation and had a little too much wine, we kissed and that was that – I knew I wanted to be with him. We officially became a couple one month later. No regrets, and can’t wait to be his wife!

Haha.  I’m not going to lie.  The first time I saw my boyfriend, I wasn’t impressed.  I had sworn off men for a while because I had just gotten out of a bad, long-term relationship.  We clicked right away and he added me on facebook.  We chatted that night and the next couple of days.  He asked me out on facebook chat (oh, the age of technology).  It took me, ilke, two minutes to say yes because I was so conflicted about going out with someone again.  My best friend (who I was also chatting with) convinced me to go.

So, we went and the rest was history.  Haha.

Oh man!  Almost 6 years ago, I first laid eyes on my FH.  I was running late to class, hair in a ponytail, sweats on…not a pretty picture.  I walked in and he was sitting in the back row looking so handsome, with this shirt that showed his biceps…they were the first thing I saw! lol πŸ™‚  I couldn’t concentrate from that day on and wanted to talk to him so badly.  I was semi-dating a boyfriend of over a year, but he had been cheating, etc.,etc.  But my FH also had a girlfriend as I found out later.   One of his friends in the same class had a crush on me, so FH used him as an excuse to hang out one day, saying “He would be so excited if you showed up on his front door.”  So I went, of course to spend time with FH, and the rest is…HISTORY!!!!

I can’t wait to marry the man of my dreams. πŸ™‚

When I was just 18 I had finally given up and sworn off guys and decided to drop everything in my life and volunteer in China. On the flight I met up with an older lady that was volunteering with the same organization as me and we talked. She was telling me about this dating site she was on and about a guy that she was interested in, but was worried he was a pedo creep, so she asked me to create an account in China and message him to see if he would go for a younger girl. Long story short he did and I had no intentions of finding a man of my own on the site. three days later I received the most heart felt romantic message from a male nurse student and we talked and talked but I never expected anything of it. 6 months later we finally decided to meet for a non valentines day date at a bar in the town I was living in. I’m not going to lie it most definitely was not love at first site… In fact I called a cab from the bar the moment I could break away. He was a horrible dancer, stuck his tongue in my ear and kept saying that he was going to take his master card and run away with me to paris. As odds have it, my cab never showed up and I was stranded with this guy on the streets till four am. He was such a whiner too lol. I gave him another chance during reading week he took me out for dinner and on the way back, we were stuck at a train stop where we had our first magical kiss. My phone had fallen between the seats without me knowing and we had to meet again. We got engaged by the train tracks three years later and I couldn’t be happier!

I can’t tell the story without a little back story. I went to the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA and ended up with alot of friends in the visual effects (movie) industry. I ended up getting a job in Atlanta and lived there for a year. I was living with my college boyfriend who also hated Atlanta so we decided to move to Los Angeles together. I set up a transfer with my company and everything was set in motion. I came home from work one night and he said that he wasn’t going.. he wasn’t going to move to LA. Yet he wasn’t breaking up with me? I was like WTF! I’m moving.. So I broke up with him and moved to LA by myself. I had a few old friends from college out here so I sold everything I owned and drove out here with my SUV and a smal Uhaul trailer.

I started hanging out with my old college friends who had a few weekly going out rituals (Karaoke on Wednesdays, another bar on Thursdays etc..) and kept seeing this one guy there. He was mutual friends with my friends and had also attended my college but I didn’t know him then. I felt an immediate attraction and kept trying to get to know him but he shut me out. Eventually he warmed up and turned out to be the love of my life πŸ™‚

Now we’re planning our wedding in Savannah because we wouldn’t have met in Los Angeles without first attending college in the same place!

@jjmomma: Exactly (now anyway)- except he’s caught on about my 1000 yard stare. Then he was talking about a common friend

My Fiance and I met on move-in day at college. A group of us went to Wendy’s for lunch. I ended up being Boyfriend or Best Friend with one of the girls I went with, but completely forgot that he was even there! She mentioned that he came to Wendy’s that first day and I said, “No, it was you, me, (insert name), and some other guy.” Apparently my Fiance was the “some other guy”. Haha, oops!

First let me tell you this is his account. I never paid him any attention. He saw me as I was leaving a job interview and he was coming for one never saw him I have to admit. Then I saw him when we went to get id badges I thought he was with a young girl that was there. Still never paid him any attention. Started working with him thought he was the cutest thing ever. But I was in a relationship and so he. We became good friends and one day I was cold and asked for a hug the hug was so great it lasted forever I kid you not. He went thru a murual friend and got my # from her. We have been friends for 7 years, But we didnt realize we were in love with one another until 6/7/10 I cant live with out him love him to pieces. In my case love was blind
