i read it because out of the 2 of us im the more reactive/emotional/passive one and i know thats not fair to my husband because its like i would create a situation to test him, knowing him the way that i do i knew he would fail

i learnt to acknowledge the things he does to show/tell me he loves me that i didnt give him credit for  although he spent the first week after reading it constantly saying to me “my love tank doesnt feel very full” to annoy me

what i did learn is that we laugh together a lot – i was worried that it seemed we didnt talk about the deep and meaningful stuff but it seems we’re just not deep people as we happily plod along with our lives

I’ve read it but Fiance hasn’t yet, although I’ve shared enough about the book with him. We’ve realize that both of our main love language is touch with a side of quality time. =)

We did a couples class with it at church! It was wonderful, I discovered that my husbands love language is “Acts of Service” and mine is “Words of Affirmation.” Now we know how to show our love more effectively. It’s extremely interesting and very helpful for married couples! Well, any couple actually (:

It was great to read just to check out new information, and like you said, just to see what we could work on. We took it with a grain of salt since it was a little “fluffy” sometimes (my love tank? No thanks, sounds like some sort of innuendo to me), but the basic concept of finding out what makes each of us feel best and what the other can do to make sure they pay attention to that was very useful. I recommend it, and even Mr.ND read it and learned from it, so it gets 4 thumbs up over here.

I just bought it, haven’t read it yet, but both of us did the online quiz and we both have ‘physical touch’ as our love language πŸ™‚

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  you’re welcome πŸ™‚

just finished ‘How to Improve Your Marriage Without Talking About It’ – it was fantastic! was trying to think of which one of my other three relationship books to read next – the five love languages, the seven principles for making marriage work, and the new rules of marriage, now know which one to read- the five love languages πŸ™‚

Great book.. Made me realize I was taking his ‘acts of service’ practically for granted.

I highly recommend it. It was such a good read, I read it in one sitting!
