I know I have seen this question before…but I am really struggling with what to do with my short hair for my winter wedding and I don’t want to grow it out b/c I love my hair and so does my fiance’. I think I want to wear a blusher or short birdcage veil (do I take it off in the reception?) but I still need some ideas. My hair is redish with different low & highlights in it and it’s a pixie cut with a twist! I have longer bangs that whisper over my eyes and the top of my hair is a bit spiky (think Rhianna when she first got her short cut). I don’t want anything “cutesy” or with a flower or feather…but I do like that vintage/retro vibe which is how I plan to have my makeup. I love the idea of a little “bling in a headband with a veil attached) PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE send pictures and forward any ideas. By The Way…it annoys me that there are hardly and pictures of short hair brides on the internet. I found a few “okay” ones…but I still want more options.
Thank you hive!-

Could you go to a hair sylist and see what she suggests? Possibly get her to do a couple of trials? I just tried to look online and there really isn’t much out there!

I suggest looking around etsy for fascinators. They make them out of really cool materials now (not just flowers or feathers). Some are really unique and have the vintage flair you say you’d like to have.

there’s some good short hair inspiration in this WB blog post:
Short and Sassy
i like the look of a birdcage veil for the ceremony and a sparkly headband for the ceremony.
@MissOwl: love your avatar!

I recently saw on an episode of Bridezilla where the bride’s hair was short. She went for a vintage vibe and basically swept her bangs to the side of her face (but her hair was pretty smooth looking). She looked great!

i say throw some hair wax in it and get a pretty headband or flower for an accent! i used to have super short hair and i loved it! ive been growing it out for about a year and half now and have gotten it past my shoulders but i still miss my short hair, there is something about it that i just love.
i love sienna millers hair when it was short and i think it would look lovely with a barrette or flower.

I have short hair (although it sounds like it’s longer than yours), and I am doing finger waves and a fascinator.
