tarynk35:  yessss so glad I saved that then! I’ve been looking into something similar for myself, I kinda think I want a pink or yellow emerald cut any stone in the same setting..

I use google images for inspiration.  I find the setting I want, and then I take it right to the local jeweler.  I do this for a couple of reasons.  1. I won’t have to ship my stone anywhere and 2. Usually it’s a custom job and I don’t trust joe bag of donuts to set my stone properly.  Then if there are issues, and ive already paid, I have a problem and little to no recourse.

Which style are you leaning towards? other than east west?  Do you have a local jeweler that you trust already?  Many Bee’s here have their favorites, and Ive read that you may be able to find something ornate on etsy but honestly I would find a style, print it off and walk it into a jeweler.  But a mom and pop shop for sure, not the big box kind.

I recently set my pear shaped aquamarine as a pendent necklace. This site has made me obsessed with pear shapes and gemstones so I had to get one! I never wore rings until I got engaged so a necklace was the perfect choice for me. I’m sure you will find something beautiful to set it in! 😊

tarynk35:  Sp pretty! What a find! I think with how big the stone is it would be perfect for the East-West double claw prong setting! Personally I’d pair it with a twisted band on the setting. Congrats!

tarynk35:  pretty! You have plenty of options – I think rose gold would really complement the stone color.  An Art Deco style would also be really pretty

I personally think this is lovely. With clear stones or even pearls.
