Hi hive, I’m looking for opinions on bridesmaids dresses. I have narrowed it down to 2 styles, which are completely different, and which I both really like. My problem(s) is this:
1. We only have the Maid of Honor and the Best Woman, so their opinions are really important to me;
2. They both keep saying they will wear whatever I pick and want me to pick;
3. One admitted to liking dress #1 better, and the other likes #2 better as she can wear it again.
Both would be in black – I have them in white here so you can see the details.
Dress #1 is from David’s Bridal (long, on model). It’s lovely, but honestly, I don’t think either of them would be able to wear it again. Dress #2 (tea length) is by Jasmine and is super-cute. The Best Woman works in tv/movies and will be able to wear it again to parties. My Maid/Matron of Honor would (very likely) never wear it again. One other consideration is that Maid/Matron of Honor will have just given birth recently, so do you think either of these styles would be more flattering/comfortable to a post-baby body?
My wedding dress is strapless, mermaid fit Pronovias with a sweetheart neckline. We are getting married in the summer, outside, by the ocean.

What is the price of each dress? Would you allow them each to pick the one they like best?

I LOVE the second one! And it looks even a little shorter than typical tea length so it would definitely be re-wearable.

I would much prefer to wear the jasmine one if it were me, it’s quite cute. Would they be wearing it in white?

I LOOOOOVE the jasmine one!

Only two girls…the dress will be in black? August wedding? I say number TWO for sure!

I like the 2nd one as well. THey will definitely be able to wear that again.

well, so far the results are clear! 🙂 Personally, I like the 2nd one better myself (in fact, I am buying it to wear to cocktail parties lol). It’s very “Audrey Hepburn” looking in real life.
Ok, this makes me feel better about my decision – I didn’t want to pick #2 just because *I* personally like it for a dress, know what I mean? I do think it’s much more rewearable though.
My mom actually found it for me when we went to try on wedding dresses – she brought it into the dressing room and said to me “THIS dress HAS to be your bridesmaid dress. Now try it on so we can get a pic for B and C.” I was like “okay, mom-zilla” 🙂

second for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!

Number 2 is super cute. As a Bridesmaid or Best Man I might really wear that again, which has never in the history of my BM-dom actually happened.

No question. Definitely the second!

I agree with 2010- the shorter the better, can dress 1 come shorter? Have you considered just letting them get the dress they like- if it’s the same length/color- it might be a great, coordinated look….
