Skittles131:  I think it depends on your budget. We have a budget of $4,500 so $700 would be a pretty big chunk of our budget, so we are going to do it ourselves. I’ve been to plenty of weddings WITH DJ’s where people still didn’t dance, and our family aren’t really dancing type anyways. I’ve also heard of plenty of people who had iPod weddings and people danced and had a good time. I don’t see why an iPod makes a difference if you pick fun music for dancing. You could have a special dance playlist you put on once you want to dancing part of the night to start. 🙂

Just got married on April 26th, and well the day would not have been perfect without our DJ.  He kept the night on track, played music we loved and also kept everyone having a great time and dancing, no offense an Ipod would not have cut it.  I think music is really important to the wedding and guest experience as well as yours.  If you have to cut, try from somewhere else.  I don’t think you will regret having a pro DJ.  I had my reception in the burbs of Chicago.  You may want to email me DJ for ideas.
