Hello Ladies,This is gonna be a long one but I’ll do my best to shorten it up. Also pics are at the bottom for your viewing pleasure
So over the past month or so I have been obsessing over a dress by alfred angelo, it is their brand new belle dress style 225… I fell head over heels for it so when I made started making appointments to try on dresses I called and made sure it was at the alfred angelo near my house. It was!!!!! I made another appointment at another shop later that same day just in case it didn’t live up to my expectations. Long story short I tried on a few dresses at alfred angelo and than slipped on belle. she was a bit snugg but I LOVED IT! Didnt want to take her off did a little dance in her pranced around woohoo took a bunch of pics it just seemed perfect. Tried on a couple of other dresses but nothing was great So I left very much in love. I didn’t want to cancel the next appointment so I went with that dress very fresh in my mind and not expecting anything that could compare. I was wrong there was a dress there that was also great did a little wiggle staired at the competitor but the sales lady as nice as she was made me feel like I needed to control my wackiness sono prancing . I couldnt take pics there so I don’t remember exactly what I lookedlike in it but I do remember seeming slimmer. So this left me thinking did I just love #1 due to my obssesion looked at the pics I took and it didn’t seem as perfect… coulda just been that it was snugg in a bad area but I don’t know… here are the contenders me in dress on and the stock photo of number 2! what do you think…

What are you going for? These are very different dresses. Dress one is more “fairy tale,” if you will. Dress two is sexier and more sophisticated. Do you want to be a princess? Or do you want to be a voluptuous woman?

I would prefer dess 2, but youwould look great in dress 1 and if you love it, get it!

Oh I do wish you could have taken photos of you in dress 2 ! Both are beautiful, you cant go wrong.. but like PP said, it all depends on what style of bride you want to be 🙂 That being said, my personnal style is more with dress 2

I prefer dress #2. I think it’s a gorgeous dress, and, although we cannot see you in the second dress, I agree with your gut instinct that the lines of dress #2 are going to be more slimming and flattering to your figure, because the transition from the bodice to the skirt is more gradual and graceful than in dress #1.
However, you still look beautiful in dress #1. If it’s truly your dream dress, then it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

I honestly am torn as to what I want to look like (crazy sparkle princess vs more grown up princess(dress 2 was still pretty princessish on me)) Sadly when I went to try on dresses I had hoped the dresses would make that decision for me. I still love number 1 but number 2 snuck up on me and wedged it’s self in to my heart as well. Number one has the look I always pictured myself in, I loved how the pickups swooped to the side which was different and it made me feel like I sparkled ,but it was a bit stiff and where the top hits the skirt is such a harsh transition. I loved how soft and flowing number 2was and how it moved/floated, plus the lace was only on one side the other side was only ruffles but I didn’t have that omg so pretty feeling at the time I was more shocked that I could like something else as much as I did the first dress. Really wishing I had a picture in it… maybe I should go back fake being body shy and sneak a pic when the sales lady is out of the dressing room…

I’m for dress 2 all the way!

I voted for #2 but you’d look great in either! It’s hard to say without seeing you in both to really compare though. I voted for #2 because I think assymetric bodices almost always look great 😀

I think you shoul try them both on again. I had to do that a couple times and the second time it was really obvious to me which one was the best choice.

I vote try on again, if you can 🙂 maybe you’ll know then, if not, take more pics if you can and give it some time. good luck!
