Ugh, I’m sorry you’ve got that going on. Another one of nature’s ‘f you females!’ moments(!)

I’d be researching diet and crap for the both of you. But I’d be so indignant about it all that I’d probably have him pull out, which I appreciate isn’t ideal! Good luck in finding a solution or a way to manage it.

Omg! I’m experiencing this too! I never had sex before before I met my SO, so I thought it was from me. My SO has had sex with other girls before so he said he’s never had that smell, so as you can see. I thought it was me. But I’m very sure I never smelt that before no matter how turned on I was. It only came when I started having sex with my SO.

It does come and sometimes it doesn’t. Mine isn’t as bad that i could smell it with clothes but definitely just right after sex.

After cleaning up, the smell tend to subside and only comes back again when he pulls out to ejaculate. I tried a few things cos I thought it was me, baking soda etc but after researching, i found the same thing as you did… the combination fluid.

We tend to use condoms more often cos I don’t like the smell but I also want to know how to prevent it when family planning comes into play.

So if anyone has any solutions, please share!!

Is your bf a smoker? Does the smell appear when you use condoms? Did you doc test for a mycotic infection, too?

You could have your bf tested, too – it’s possible that he’s the one having a mycotic infection that influences how your fluids react without having infected you (yet).

(Btw, instead of fancy expensive medication, the lactic acid bacteria a yoghurt contains does the ph value trick, too – put it on your private parts for about five minutes once a week before showering and the ph number will be just fine)

I take 6 billion probiotics (5 strain) x3 pills a day and it keeps everything nice and fresh down there. Highly recommend it. There are a lot of probiotics that are in the fem-care aisle at your local drugstore, with super strains to keep everything balanced and healthy in the vajayay area, esp being sexually active. Semen can throw everything out of whack down there and this stuff really works. If you ever feel like it gets REALLY bad then you can put a pill in as a suppository and leave it overnight, do this every other day for a week and everything will clear up. Gl.

Dragonfly715 :  this could be way off what is happening with you but a friend of a friend was experiencing the same thing as you with a new partner. She went to the doctors and had a whole barrage of tests. Her partner did the same. Everything kept coming back as negative. They basically started using condoms to avoid the scenario. About six months later she started getting other symptoms and it turned out she had a intracavitary fibroid in her uterus. The fibroid was basically creating a pocket where seminal fluid was getting trapped for a long period. When it would eventually drain it would obviously have a really potent smell. Maybe look into this?

isitreal :  Flagged. I DGAF what this Bee may have said to offend you but the bee should be a safe place for all. I’m disgusted by your comments. Go away.

If this was meant as a joke then it’s in really poor taste and you should think twice before you personally offend people about things that they cannot control. Woman up.

isitreal :  so stupid and immature. It’s normal for a woman’s private area to vary with amounts of discharge and smells depending on time of month, allergies, bv, yeast etc. Time to grow up.

Interesting…this happened to me a few times with Darling Husband. Back when I was on birth control, and it would only happen when we had sex shortly after my period ended. Seemed to clear up on its own though and hasn’t happened in many months.

I’ve never had this happen, but I’ve always religiously used pull out method. The few times Fiance didn’t pull out, I HATED having fluid just randomly dripping out of me the whole next day. I just don’t feel like myself… I think I’m going to HATE TTC! haha

Glad you figured out the cause!
