    You guys mean to tell me you don’t find this look cute at all???

    I guess it’s just a question of personal taste/style

    @Petite_Fraise:  I’m with you. I don’t own any though.

    I think they can look amazing and fashionable on some people and completely atrocious on others. It all depends on fit and body type. Some people just can’t pull certain things off and need to accept that.

    I HATE them. I’ve seen maybe three girls ever who didn’t look frumpy in them. This fad might have worked in the 80s, but, well….most of us are a lot heavier now than the average-sized woman in the 80s. And I speak from experience when I say those high-waisted jeans can make big girls look like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. My ego cannot take giving those things another shot.

    @Petite_Fraise:  Not fair. That girl would look cute in a burlap sack.

    Here is the thing- I like 70s style high waist.  It is actually very flattering (and somewhat necessary) if you have large hips like I do.  You need something to fit up over those things.  I have an hourglass, so 70s style flares work really well on me.  However, if you are talking more 90s style- NO.  I think it is atrocious.

    @Petite_Fraise:  Mostly I want to feed her a cupcake because she looks so sad. Maybe its because those awful pants. 😛 Or that hat… EEK!!

    I hate the look and can’t stand it!!! Seriously, whether your average girl or runway model, I don’t think this looks good on ANYONE. Sorry!

    @Petite_Fraise:   That looks like a *slightly* updated version of Alyssa Milano or Debbie Gibson circa 1986.

    Sorry, but this fad should go crawl under a rock and never see daylight.

    I don’t own any, but in some cases I think they look really cute… like high-waisted bell-bottom pants with wedge shoes–very cute and very 70’s if you’re going for that look.

    Do you guys think high-waisted skirts are any different? I definitely have several pencil skirts and circle skirts that are worn on my natural waist.

    I think it looks so good on some people. But I could never ever pull it off.

    Not a fan.  I don’t think it is flattering on anyone.

    @Petite_Fraise:  No – I don’t even think that model looks attractive in them.  It just doesn’t look right.

    ETA: I don’t put pencil skirts in the same catagory as this trend at all!

    Skirts and pants, sure, if they are done right.

    Not with shorts though!
