    @Cash000:  I agree! I have a high-waisted pencil skirt and I love it!

    @cbee:  this. 70’s style cute on the right body type. They accentuate small waists and suck in flab. Mom style never cute.  I think the trick is having the right body type and proper styling.

    Skinny girls can pull it off, but what trend can’t skinny girls pull off?

    I agree that this trend needs to end and fashion should embrace the mid-rise.  I have a very short torso so high-waisted pants look awful on me, but I no longer find the low rise pants I used to wear that flattering, either.  Mid-rise is the best!

    Oh my. Well my belly button needs to breathe. I don’t think she’d enjoy being strangled by pants! This must not be a huge trend here because I haven’t really seen it. It surely doesn’t look comfortable and I’d be afraid of creating a kangaroo pouch with this style.

    i just feel like I am too old for this shit when I see the new styles come out. Seriously I’m becoming a granny. I wore the whole colored jeans thing when I was in 3rd grade and that was back in the early 90s.

    80’s butt is back in style?? What a ridiculous industry.

    Every time I see a pic of these women in these high rise shorts, I feel like I want them to yank them down. All I can think is that they HAVE to have a wedgie or camel toes or something. (I know thats not how they work… but they look so uncomfortable!!)

    I’ve never gotten this look. Even when I saw it in pics with pin up girls. I’d always be like “Shes cute, I love her hair, I love her makeup, I love her pose… BUT WHATS WITH HER PANTS????”

    I’ll stick with low rise… they work for me 🙂

    If I could pull it off, I would; unfortunately, I’m too short and wide. lol

    It suits skinny people! Or flatters them at least. Personally though, it just looks uncomfortable.

    I love high waisted skirts but not shorts and pants.

    They do make your waist look tiny and your legs look super long though!

    You have to have a good waist-hip ratio for it to work, but when it does it can look great.

    I love them. I have high waisted jeans and shorts. I think it really accentuates a tiny waist.

    @doobie:  What pooch? I’ve been zooming in on my phone trying to figure out what you’re seeing that I’m not.
