There are lots of alternate ways of saying this. Just do a google search. The honor of your presence is technically supposed to be for only when the service itself is in a church. Otherwise, it should say, the pleasure of your company is requested at… . I have also heard many many variations. Here are some examples:http://www.invitationconsultants.com/samplewording.aspx?p_subcategory=1 but if you go back out of that page and into this one http://www.invitationconsultants.com/sw-wedding.aspx you can find all sorts of wording! We are printing our own as well – my wonderful fiance designed them using a template that was with the invitation, but our own wording that we found somewhere on the internet (verseit.com?)… He also played with spacing and font sizes and stuff – but I think you were just looking for wording?

Because you have shared in our lives by your friendship and love, we,

Karen & Mike

together with our parents,
Susan & David Smith
Rosemary & Dennis Jones

invite you to share the beginning of our new life together when we exchange marriage vows
