Honestly I love it and almost got something similar.  I think it’s very elegant.  Where is the wedding going to be at and do you have any pics of youself in the dress?

For me it’s too much. There is a lot going on in that dress, with the beaded bodice and the pickups all over the skirt. But, if you like it and it’s your style and fits your wedding style, go for it.

Although the dress is beautiful, I would be worried that the pick-ups make it dated….when is your wedding?

I unequivically love it.  There are several other girls here who will be wearing the same dress.  You might want to check out "Show us your dresses" or search for the dress name to see who already has it and talk to them about it.

All wedding dresses are going to look dated eventually… and most of us adore older wedding photos from the 30s, 40’s and 50s.   It’s just that the 80s and 90s were so recent that we cringe at the style.

I say if you love it and can afford it and nothing else compares, then this should be your dress ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you love it? It’s a beautiful dress, so if you love it, go for it! There will always be some people who would choose a different dress and will have no problem telling you what they would choose instead–I bet everyone has experienced that while dress shopping. But it’s your dress, not theirs! The world would be boring if we all liked the same thing. And not many people have the figure to pull off a low drop waist like that, so if you do, all the better. ๐Ÿ™‚

You know, what stood out to me in your post was not anything you asked about the dress. It’s that you said that you didn’t feel like a bride when going with the "regular mermaid style." That was the most important question about the dress search for me (as I originally started out saying I wanted a colorful dress then realized I didn’t feel like a bride unless the dress was white). You’ve got to ask yourself what indicates ‘bride’ in your own mind. Is it a tiara? A veil? A ballgown? When your friend hands you your bouquet will it become ‘real’ that you’re a ‘bride’?

The dress is lovely. If the pickups make you feel like a bride, wear the dress proudly and happily! Other people can wear the dresses that they individually prefer on their own wedding days. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love this dress but dont have the figure to pull it off.  If I did I would.  I wanted it with a the mermaid skirt underneath to fill out the pick-ups and give a great mix of mermaid and ballgown.  If you love this dress then get it ๐Ÿ˜€

I hate mermaid dresses, but this one is very beautiful, I say if you feel comfortable in it, then go for it.
