My thighs and butt.  My thighs and butt are smaller but not really shaped at all outside of jeans.

Thighs and tummy. I can make them smaller a little but never actually “tone” them.

I can make my belly almost completely flat except for a little bump just under my belly button.

As for my thighs they lose a little bit but I CAN’T for the life of me get them to not touch. Even when I was at my skinniest

My love handles! I could have a six pack and would still have them!

Thighs! It drives me crazy that no matter how toned the rest of me looks, the back of my thighs looks like I have never even tried to tone it. I now focus on that area most of the week so I am hoping to have a change by pool party season.

    You can’t tone fat.

And you can’t isolate and choose what bit of fat will go away through diet/exercise.

You can build up the muscles underneath, but until the fat is gone it will never look toned.

Everybody carries their weight differently. For me, fat accumulates the most in my thighs. I think I’d have to be 125 pounds before I could even begin to think about having “toned” thighs.

My tummy! I started a new workout and I can see a change, but it’s always been the one area I struggle with.

Midsection, definitely. When I was running more regularly, I noticed a better tone in my legs, and I know that if I put some effort in, I can tone up my arms. But my midsection/tummy just refuses.

Pilates…. seriously. That’s the only workout type I know of that I’ve ever seen a real difference. But the painnnn!!! Oh my gosh. The good thing is that if you have netflix there are actually several workouts you can do on the fitness video part, lots including pilates.

That being said, I don’t think my legs or butt will ever quite obey the laws of popular beauty… they respond to a higher godess called mother nature and bow down to gravity every day. 😉

My butt! There’s just too much fat over the muscles on that area, so no matter how good the shape I’m in… it is never toned. And I’m a cyclist, runner, martial artist.. And I lose fat everywhere except for my butt, so it seems like a lost cause.

I can build musculature pretty easily everywhere it’s getting the fat off that’s hard! So it comes down to whether my diet is in check. That said, my arms are the source of the greatest frustration. They’re just…thick. I feel like I’d have to have reeeally low body fat % to ever have “toned” arms.
