I’ve never had a smartphone, so I’d be happy with anything “smart” at this point, lol.

    And I love pink. >.<

I haven’t read anything that makes me want to rushout and get it. SO and I are going to be combining plans in the next year so I can’t early upgrade for the 5 right now anyways.

I have a 4 – skipped the 4S – and I’m considering upgrading to the 5. I’d love a better camera and faster phone, but those only aren’t worth it. I want to hear how the new Apple Maps with guided directions is before making a decision.

I’m also cranky about the new connector, on multiple levels – it’s annoying to need new peripherals as a consumer, but also because Apple was all pro micro-USB just 6 months ago, and now they have released another proprietary connector. Lame.

I have the 4s. It was my first iPhone ever and let me say it’s the biggest piece of shit phone I’ve ever had. iPhone’s are wayyy too hype. I’ve gotten a new one 3 times from apple because of problems and the things still a piece of shit! It freezes. Apps randomly close. It randomly facetimes ppl by itself. Erases my messages. And the list goes on.

This will be my first smartphone- Mostly leaning towards the 5 over the 4s because of the LTE

I actually like that the 4s is a little smaller because my hands are tiny.

Do you think stores will have one instore before the 21st?  Not for purchase but I just want to hold one.

@limegreenbride:  [content moderated for personal attack] Even FH (who is a die-hard Apple lover) hates it. And the change in the charger wouldn’t be such a big deal if they didn’t have to make it different from EVERYONE ELSE’S again. And the biggest thing I hate about iPhone is its size (I long for the days of ultra-thin flip phones again…), and I hate widescreen aspects on anything but a TV, so the 16:9 ratio just pisses me off.

I currently have the 4s and I like it. I’ve only had it since around February of this year though, so I’m not upgrading to the new phone. The thing that I don’t like is the change in the charger, although a friend of mine who works with Verizon said that they have an adapter for your other devices. Personally, I’d have to see it to decide if it’s be worth upgrading to, but by the time I’m eligible to upgrade there will be a new iPhone, so I’m not worried about it.

My option is not listed. I love technology and I have slowly but surely converted all of mine to Apple. Including an iPad that I got as a gift for my 21st birthday. I have the 4S, and I got it around this time last year. Since I can get the new iPhone 5 software on my 4S there’s no reason for me to go out now and buy the phone all for the sake of having a taller, slimmer phone with the usual improvements of speed and battery life. There are a few changes that I am actually not pleased about (not the new charging dock, although I see the pros and cons of that too) but I won’t enumerate them here.

So basically, my answer is, I would probably love the phone itself, but the software I love more, and since I’m getting that on my 4S anyway, I’m getting the iPhone 5 minus the body of the phone and price tag.

@limegreenbride:  Aw, he must have mislabeled it then. 🙁 I don’t even have an iPod either so I don’t know what any of the new generation or old generation colors or whatnot are. Isn’t that sad?
