@kayakgirl73:  Thanks ladies! I’m so glad to hear such good things about them. I still have every part of me crossed that we won’t make it there, but if we do I’m glad to know we will be in good hands. : )

@Jenn23:  I’m doing well.  Started stims yesterday and had a nice welt from the Bravelle/Menopur.  Also had a mixing problem and air bubbles.   Going to give myself more time tonight and go slow.LOL

not sure if this is tmi or not – but just wondering if other bees out there doing iui have had to do this or not…

i have a dialation appointment tomorrow and am a bit nervous that it will be painful, etc.  i have a meeting at work scheduled for right after and all of a sudden i started wondering if that was a good idea or not…

has any one else had to do this before iui? was it painful?

thanks bees!

@squeak35:  Oh, sorry you had some trouble at first. I still remember it took my husband like 30 minutes to mix the 6 vials of Bravelle the first night, but by Day 4 it took only 5 minutes! haha It is definitely interesting at first, but you get the hang of it. I hope it is going better now! When do you go for monitoring to check how many follies?? Thinking good thoughts for you!!

Cross post from 6+ thread…

Foremost, I want to thank all of those who responded to my last post.  It was your kind words, hugs and prayers that really helped me through a very dark time.  So…THANK YOU ALL!!!  You are such a wonderful group of women, you truly are…I hope that each and every one of you knows that!

It is such a bizarre thing to want something so badly that you have absolutely no control over.  As most of you know, I am older, but have only been married for two years the end of September.  Before meeting my husband, I pretty much had accepted the fact that I was most likely not going to be married and therefore not have children.  I can honestly say that in my 20s and early 30s, I don’t even know if I wanted children.  And I was absolutely fine with that.  It was who I was.  That all changed after I met my husband and not only did I find myself wanting to be married, but I also wanted to have children with this amazing man.  It really sucks to know the chances are so remote of that last part ever happening for us.

Anyway, we are not about to give up on our dream just yet.  We are going to try and do things the old fashioned way for awhile.

I will be still following this thread to keep tabs on all of you starting new cycles and I hope I can contribute along the way since I was just through an injectibles + IUI cycle.  I am your #1 cheerleader…

We’ll be starting our injectable/IUI cycle soon. Baseline U/S will probably be on Monday. I’ll be stimming with Gonal-F (200; to start).

Anyone else likes to join the stubbing party?

@elchalten:  You know I’m in the middle of mine right now! I was just popping back in to give an update.

Today is CD7 and I’ve been on 75IU follistim for four days. The RE said my ultrasound this morning looked good! I had two 11mm follies on the right and two 9mm follies on the left, plus a few more smaller ones. RE is hoping to grow the two right ones and maybe one of the left ones and leave the others behind. She said if my estrogen looks like they’re all growing, she’ll adjust my dosage downward. If it’s in the right range for two-three follicles, they’ll keep me on my current dosage. If I don’t hear from her, I’m to continue at 75IUs through Monday.

Next appointment is Monday at 8:45 a.m. and she thinks I might be ready for trigger shot by then! If so, we’ll have our IUI Tuesday morning around 9. It’s crazy! I can’t believe how fast it’s all happening. I’m excited and still super nervous. 🙂

How are you feeling about everything? I’m so hopeful for you!

@bunny:  Thinking about you this morning! FX that everything looks great!!!

AFM, I had my baseline u/s yesterday morning (CD2). All looks good and will start my injections tonight. Then I’ll have to go back for another u/s and bloodwork on Saturday. I’m feeling realistic-optimistic. I’m trying to think as positive as I can. How are you feeling?

I’ve been lurking, but I think most of the girls are over on the 1 + year thread.

Well heck. I liked having a thread dedicated to just IUI and IVF. Oh well, I suppose I shall go over there too.
