@bradybride:  Congratulations!  That is fantastic news.

Everyone – can anyone give me a sense of how long it (generally) takes from consult –> IVF?  My endo pain is back with a vengenace so I need to get this show on the road, but I want to make sure I am timing everything well.

@septcabride:  we met with our RE for the first time in december. I then had to have an HSG and lots of bloodwork. they discovered that I was not immune to chicken pox, so that put us back a month. We could have started in March, but had to wait until April until I was done with the immunizations. I think if you’ve already had an HSG and are immune to chicken pox, your timeline may be less.

@JaneyD:  I had a few shots that made me bleed a little. some of them turned out to be some nice bruises! It’s weird how one day the shots don’t hurt at all and the next they may hurt and bleed. I also found towards the end of the cycle, my stomach was more sensitive (and I was running out of places to shoot!)

@JaneyD:  So sorry about the bruise.  I’m not looking forward to the shots.  Plus I bruise very easily.

@septcabride:  Since I have Asherman’s, we will begin treatment in June/ July.  At my consult, we made a rough timeline knowing I’m 42 and Asherman’s.  Before my consult, I was heistant but my RE reviewed my records prior to our meeting.  I started my AF 5 days later, had my 2 day bloodwork, and scheduled my surgery all in the same week.  I never move this fast but I knew I was in capable hands and completely trust my new team.  DH was impressed because my RE who did my surgery took the time to talk about my procedure as well as sports.

Ladies, my surgery went well.  Successfully removed the scarring as well as a polyp.  Can’t wait to go to my Post Op next week.

@JaneyD:  Ouch! I haven’t had any bleeding from the jabs, but just a few bruises. Lots of ice!

@septcabride:  I had to book into a new specialist who worked in an IVF centre, that took a few months to get in to. Then further testing, etc. Then we had to wait for AF to start (hahahaha, took ages) – that was March 15th. I was on a long down-reg cycle, so didn’t start sniffing my suppressor drug until April 4th. Jabbing started April 12th… and here we are, still sniffing & jabbing!

Had my first blood and hormone level draw this morning – evil guy with a needle, yick. I requested that they ring or text me the levels, but I don’t know if they’ll bother… everyone I’ve spoken to at the clinic says that they don’t.

Also, I just went to put a pair of jeans on and I have CRAZY bloat – they won’t zip up! And to be honest, even if I MADE them zip, I am not liking the pressure on my belly right now.

I wondered why it was sore and looked down – and I’ve got a blood blob at this morning’s injection site too. Nothing much to do about it, but it’s starting to look a bit awful.

@JaneyD:  I sent your socks today! (I’m so sorry I took so long.)

I didn’t hear from the fertility centre – see, I had a feeling they wouldn’t ring! I’ll leave a message for them tomorrow, but I’ll probably just wait until Friday when I’m in for a follow up visit and have a peek at what my levels were for today.

I’m assuming that no news is good news!
