@mtler:  Oh no I’m so sorry to hear πŸ™  I hope everything turns out okay.  And I know this is no consolation, but if you do end up having to go through this again I hope that they will start doing some more tests and finding out if there’s anything they can do to help!

Had my first viability ultrasound today and we received good and not-so-good news. First the good – we have an embryo with a heart beat. Baby measures 6w 4-5d which is basically correct as I should be 6w 5-6d today. This was fantastic news after having a blighted ovum in February  and having lost all symptoms of pregnancy with this one. The not-so-good news is that the fetal heart rate is low. Around 100ish. Doctor is giving us a 50/50 chance with this baby. Please pray. We go back for another ultrasound at the end of next week.

@Pand0ra:  praying hard, hugs to you while you wait.

@mrsc630:  you should see my grout lines. Also just re-caulked my bathroom. Distraction!

bit of a hard day today. Friend texted that she’s expecting and due around when I would have been. So happy for her but it also kicked my ass. I wish I would have been able to say “me too!!”

so we decided not to prevent this first cycle and let be what will be. After 9 months trying for the last bfp I cannot bear the thought of purposely waiting.

@mtler:  I’m so sorry to hear this awful news. My heart aches for you! I hope they’re able to find out why this is happening.  It’s just not fair that miscarriage should ever strike twice! πŸ™

@Pand0ra:  I was just reading up and a fetal heart rate betweeen 90-110 is completely normal for your baby’s gestational age. I’m super hopeful for you guys!!

@gollum:  I made the same choice & it worked out for the better. Hope you get good news in the next couple of weeks!!

@gollum:

@MrsRugbee:

I also decided not to wait after my miscarriage and I got pregnant again immediately. I’m less than 5 weeks along at this point. Time will tell if this pregnancy will be successful. I am glad we didn’t wait because now we have hope to overshadow our sadness from the miscarriage.

So interesting to read about you ladies that did not wait after MC and were able to conceive quickly. Darling Husband and I did wait one cycle, going to TTC this cycle. I hope it wasn’t a mistake to wait, though I guess there is no benefit to worrying about it now! FX that all of us who are trying get BFPs this month!

I’m coming here for a little emotional support and help with formulating a plan of action. I had one early miscarriage on Mother’s Day (just last month) and then got pregnant again right away. Today is Father’s Day, and I’ve started noticing some brown tinged CM on my panty liner. I have heard that brown means old blood and is usually fine, but this is exactly how my previous miscarriage began–with brown blood on this exact same day of gestation.

I am pretty concerned that this pregnancy is going to end up like my previous one. And that upsets me! There’s still a chance that everything is fine, but I’d like to prepare for the worst. I want to have a plan when I go to the doctor so that they take my concerns seriously and increase my chances of having a successful pregnancy soon.

I have my first doctor’s appointment scheduled for Tuesday. When I had this appointment for my last pregnancy, all they did was a urine test. If they do that again this time and it’s negative, that will tell me I’ve miscarried. But if that’s all they do this time and it shows as positive, it’s not going to put my mind at ease. I want them to at least do a blood test to see if my hormone levels are rising properly.

If it is a miscarriage, I want tests to find out WHY I had two consecutive miscarriages on the same day of gestation. I am worried that my doctor won’t take me seriously until I’ve had multiple miscarriages. But I don’t think I could emotionally handle having another one.

Planning what I will do in the event of another miscarriage helps me stay calm and deal with the uncertainty I am facing today. Do you bees have any words of advice for getting my doctor to listen to my concerns? What specific tests should I request? Both times the spotting has started right around 4w5d.

Just for a glimmer of hope: Does anybody have experience with brown spotting that turned out to be nothing? Especially after having had one previous miscarriage?

Well ladies  after all the turmoil of crappy hcg numbers that weren’t rising, I am officially proof that those numbers don’t mean shit!  Saw a beautiful heartbeat this morning.  I had completely convinced myself that I was having another miscarriage,  spent the weekend devastated and bam little flicker on the screen this morning,  ticking away. Not out of the woods yet but things are looking good!  I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound.

 Interesting info,  my Dr didn’t want to measure the heartbeat this early because she says it heats up the fetus too much and isn’t good for it.

@mysterybee123:  I know how scary of a time this is,  I am right there with you!  The only advice I can give you is try not to assume the worst.  I shed a lot of wasted tears this weekend for nothing!  I’ll be thinking about u!  Good luck!

@MrsRugbee:  You have no idea how relieved and SHOCKED I am. Even my dr was shocked, you shoulda seen her face. She looked startled when she saw the heartbeat. I love my dr! She is so awesome. She does private ultrasounds once a week so i get an ultrasound and dr apt in one!  I am measuring behind what I was expecting but when I first took my levels she guessed that I ovulated later than I thought.  She isnt concerned about it, so i wont be either! I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound!

Looks like our kiddos can be in playgroup together!
