@As_You_Wish:  Wow, that’s wonderful news!  I hope you get your sticky baby.  I will keep my fingers crossed for you!  Hope your doctor appointments go well.  Thanks for starting this thread as well.  It was a huge help to me during my miscarriage.

@As_You_Wish:  Congrats!!! I haven’t been on the bee as much this week and missed your good news!  🙂

Looks like my body was doing a fake out earlier when I thought I O’ed on CD19….now it might really happen on CD39!  I had hoped since the MC was early on that things would go back to normal almost instantly.  Now I’m just hoping to get my timing right to try and hit the “jackpot” again.

Well, I’m another one sadly joining the group although my story is a little bit different. Last week I had a second trimester missed miscarriage and a D&C.

At my appt where I was 12 weeks by my LMP date we couldn’t find the heartbeat with the doppler so my Dr. got me an ultrasound to check and we had a heartbeat but baby was measuring 2 weeks smaller then my LMP date so she adjusted my due date back to 10 weeks. At my next appt at 15 weeks we heard the heartbeat on the doppler so all was good.

On this past Wednesday at 19 weeks we once again couldn’t find the heartbeat with the doppler. I already had my anatomy ultrasound booked for 2 weeks from now, so my Dr. said I could wait for that or go in earlier. On Friday I had an early ultrasound expecting to find a heartbeat and the sex of the baby (because what else do you expect at 19 weeks when you are supposed to be safe after the 1st trimester) and instead we found no heartbeat and baby was only measuring 15 weeks. Because the baby had died 4 weeks earlier I was in danger of infection if we waited much longer waiting for my body to deliver naturally. Because of the baby’s smaller size I was able to have a D&C rather then having to be induced and deliver. The D&C was saturday morning and I have a follow up appt with my Dr tomorrow afternoon.

@timesinfinity:  I am so sorry you had to go through that. It brings tears to my eyes, reading your story. Are they doing any tests to find out why this happened?

@MrsRugbee: They sent away tissue for testing from my d&c but my Dr. warned me that quite often it doesn’t give us any answers. She said most commonly its a chromosomal problem that just took longer then normal or that I could have had a virus go through my system without even knowing it. I will be discussing with her at my appt today about further testing. I see that most of you ladies say that they won’t do alot of testing unless you’ve had 3 miscarriages but I’m not sure if that is different if its a 2nd tri miscarriage. I don’t know if I can go halfway through a pregnancy and have this happen again…

hello. So sorry to everyone for their losses. I am heartbroken for everyone.

some of you saw me on my waiting for HCG levels post. Since I am here that obviously didn’t pan out. I was 6 or 7 weeks. (Very irregular cycles).

So today my doctor told me to try again whenever I am ready. I am still in the midst of having the m/c so I hadn’t really thought about it yet. But I was glad to hear that. Here’s the thing- She didn’t specify that I should wait for a couple of cycles. But it seems to me from what I’ve seen in my perusals on the internet that that is not really the norm?

I guess I will call her to clarify- I was just wondering if anyone has any opinions? I don’t think I could bear waiting 2-3 cycles. My last 2 cycles were 42 and 53 days!

@timesinfinity:  I am so incredibly sorry for your loss and that you had to go through this. My heart hurts for you.  I hope you are able to get some answers as to why this happened.  These ladies are incredibly supportive.

@gollum:  I am so sorry for your loss as well.  I do remember reading your other thread, however, I don’t think I commented.  I’m so sorry that you’ve had such a roller coaster.  When I MC, my doctor suggested waiting 2 months before TTC again, but I was waiting to go on Clomid, so I don’t know if that had anything to do with it, but it seems pretty common that a Dr will recommend 1-2 cycles before TTC again.  The purpose is to build your lining again to sustain a pregnancy.  On the other hand, I’ve also read stories about plenty of bees that got pregnant the cycle after a MC and went on to have a healthy pregnancy.  Best of luck!
