@mrsc630: I’m sorry that you have to be a part of this thread. As for waiting 2 cycles before TTC again; it depends on how early your MC was. I miscarried last cycle at 5+4weeks – the pregnancy hadn’t progressed from the beginning. I got pregnant the next cycle & everything is moving normally so far. My doctor was annoyed when I asked for betas again but she never explicitly told me to wait & I wouldn’t have listened anyway. If your MC was later, there are medical reasons to wait: your uterus needs to rebuild its lining.
I have a quick question about your progesterone: are your cycles perfectly regular? Do you chart? Accidently taking progesterone before ovulation can delay it indefinitely.

Hi everyone. I’ve been thread stalking for a while now and have decided to join up.
Status (MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC cycle): TTC cycle. This is our fourth cycle of TTC. I’m currently in the TWW.
MC History: I MC’ed our second cycle TTC at 5 weeks. It was horrible. Very painful physically and terrifying. Fortunately everything came out naturally. We took one rest cycle and this cycle was our first back TTC.
Issues (if any): None, other than I’m 32 and I know that is still young but I’m eager to start our family.
Action Plan for next TTC cycle (ie Baby Aspirin, progesterone, etc): Nothing different.
Link to chart: N/A
Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational quotes: Hmmm… I’m just so busy right now I try not to think about it all. But it is in those quiet moments that I get really sad.
As I mentioned, I’m in the TWW. I POAS yesterday (8 DPO) and it was negative- not too surprising but I had to do it. I’ll probably POAS again tomorrow. I bought the cheapie Wondfos and it is hard not to use them.
A big thank you to all the women on this thread. It is so encouraging to hear your stories and makes me feel not quite so all alone. You are wonderful and I can’t wait to hear of our successes in the future.

Hi ladies congrats to all the bfps this month what a lucky month! I found out I am pregnant last week, 3 months after my Mc. I went for my first beta this morning at 17 dpo I need to do the second on Friday. My results were 33 which seems low to me and of course cue panic mode. Do I need to be worried?

@MrsRugbee: I do chart and use opk’s. I’m kinda obsessive about it- and I’m excited (lord, I’m a dork) b/c I will now be off for the summer- and can be more consistent with my wake-up times. LOL.
I talked to my doctor on the phone today and he was confirming that my HGC was at 2. My pregnancy was around 5 weeks (depending on if you went by my last period or my day of ovulation… it was a bit off last month). The doctor said that if I were to get pregnant- it would “probably be ok”- but he’d like to see 2 normal cycles before we tried again. So- I will continue to chart and opk just so I can see if things are “normal” or out of whack.. and avoid my fertile days… but if it happens- it happens 🙂 But, come August- hubby better be ready- bc it’ll be baby-makin’ time 🙂

@mrsc630: My doctor said to wait a cycle too, but I didn’t want to wait since my MC was so early and I’m turning 34 next month (not a lot of time to sit and watch a perfectly good cycle pass by!). It took my body forever to ovulate again and now I’m in the 2ww hoping for some good news again.

@mrsc630: I didn’t wait & I was pretty much in your situation. I made that choice after reading The Impatient Woman’s Guide to Getting Pregnant. Apparently the cycle immediately MC is super fertile & twice as likely to lead to a successful pregnancy. So far my pregnancy is progressing textbook(it never did last time)! I just got my first round of betas & everything is ‘normal’. 🙂 FX things stay positive!!
@mtler: I found this chart on the internet… Posting it here for all the worried post-MC bees! You’re right in that normal range. FX for you!!

@MrsRugbee: Thanks my fellow montrealer!! i am trying so hard to be positive but my stomach dropped the second i heard that number. Oh how i wish we could all be ladies who have easy oopsies pregnancy that go smoothly instead of ladies who have to work so hard to get pregnant and then work so hard to stay that way.
@mtler: I know exacly how you feel. My betas for my MC last cycle were 34 at 18DPO. My heart sank right into my stomach when I heard her say that. I thought the exact same thing about the oops babies. If you need someone IRL to talk to & want to grab a coffee sometime this week send me a message. When are your next betas?

@MrsRugbee: U r ao sweet! Hopefully we can be prego friends! Our babies will be due at the same time! (see i am being positive!) my boobs are burning and i am loving every second of it! Burn baby burn!

Hi, ladies! Just checking in. I am so nervous still about being pregnant again. I’ve become a POAS addict already since Monday. I am getting my HCG levels checked every 3 days until I see my doc on June 11th. I have my early U/S booked for June 24th. I am so scared about having another MC. I am trying not to let myself get too excited yet, but it is so hard. I am not having any symptoms except for a tiny little bit of nausea here and there and little twinges. Can you ladies look at this picture and let me know if the line looks like it’s getting darker? I know I shouldn’t base it on that and the tests came from different boxes. Thanks ladies!
I hope you all are doing okay XO

@beyblade1120: I can def see a difference, that line looks darker! I wish I had bought some stock in FRER because I know I’ll be buying them by the caseload. Too bad they don’t sell them at Costco….or do they?!

@mtler: dont worry yet, just wait until you get your next result and hope for a double!! Best of luck, fingers crossed for you.
just make sure to stay on top of things like one sided pain. my betas started low and didnt double, plus i was having terrible one sided pain into my groin with bleeding. i ended up being ectopic.
But on the positive side heres a good chart to reference.

@beyblade1120: Congrats so happy for you!!! STICKY dust!!!

So glad to see all the happy news on the thread lately!
I just found out that my friend is pregnant for the second time, and I have really mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, I found out when I had my MC that she also MC’d her first pregnancy. She then went on to have the most beautiful baby son, so that gave me some hope. And she wasn’t ever supposed to be able to have another baby due to complications with her first, so this second child for her is truly a miracle, praise God. He is good!
But, shallowly, it makes me sad for myself. She is 5.5 years older than me, but it still makes me feel like I am way behind the curve. She has 2 children now, and I have none. (She just turned 33, so I know we are both young.) I don’t exactly feel jealous of her, but more like I hear the clock ticking, as I will be her age what feels like soon, and I am not even started on kiddos.
She conceived her first successful pregnancy about 5 months after she was married, and I’m already past that point. At best, Darling Husband and I will have been married for 7 months by the time I conceive, and God knows, it could be even longer. I know it’s not helpful to measure ourselves against others, but it feels like I’m being left behind.
