Sigh, the little “joys” of owning a home ::wink::
Well my fiance left to go out of town for work and within 10 minutes, the furnace stops working. Well I tried all the usual things…none of them worked.
So not a big deal, it is May not January!
Well, we purchased one of those service plans just in case, yeah know? So I called the Oil/Service company and guess what?!?! They have no record of us buying a service plan.
They stated that I could call a manager at 8am (tomorrow). Again, I must say, thank goodness it is not January!! AND I always save ALL our paperwork. I pulled all the papers, copies of sent checks, and even signed (by a Tech) paperwork after our “service inspection” from the company.
Fingers crossed that all goes well in the morning.
Thanks for listening and always keep your papers Bees! Have a good night!!

It sounds like just an oversight. Since you have your paperwork that says you have the contract, you should be fine! Our furnace went out the first winter in our new house and we couldn’t get it to work very well. We had to wait until after the end of winter to get a new one so we were slight popsicles by that time!

I am sure it is an oversight. I am a worry-wort 🙂 🙂

Yeah CO is not a good place for a wonky heater! We got by with the fireplace and heating blankets along with lots of warm clothes!

At least you know you will get to fix it yourself instead of waiting for a landlord or agent to get around to making the phone call 🙂 There are some positives to owning the place yourself, even if it doesn’t always feel like it!

As long as you have the paperwork, it’ll get fixed! No worries. I keep all our paperwork in a folder for our home AND i keep scanned copies on my laptop. I’d like to get a file cabinet soon, though!
