I’m going bonkers to be honest. Home alone while my SO works away until Thursday night, and then we’re off on our anniversary getaway first thing Friday. He’s been dropping heaps of hints, talking more openly about engagements and weddings, and I know the ring is in the house. These last few days are definitely the most difficult part of the waiting game but I know it’ll be worth the wait.

It’s really hard now because it will be happening soon. I just keep remembering how much I love him and our time together. I have been exercising more, and I have been reading a bunch to take my mind off. It’s not easy, though…especially since it was already supposed to happen, but Hurricane Sandy made it impossible. Any day now…fingers crossed!

Proposal is supposed to be coming before Thanksgiving and I am a nervous wreck. Luckily, work has been busy and provides a distraction. I have also increased my gym visits. Good Luck, ladies!

When I was in my last stretch, I was so busy with moving across the country that the last thing on my mind was getting engaged. Before that, though, no amount of occupation could make me stop thinking of it — I just consciously tried to not think of it. Every time a thought about “when” or “soon” would pop into my head, I would just remind myself that I won’t be making it happen faster, and I wouldn’t make myself feel any better entertaining those thoughts, so I should just cool it.

It’s hard, though. The anticipation is the killer, and often times, the wanting of something is better than the actual having of something. Now that I am engaged, it’s the same relationship and everything, but now I hava a ring.

Thanks! I really, really hope it happens this week or next. If it doesn’t, I think I’ll die!

Well I am mad busy with stuff to do for school and around the house etc. yet… nothing is keeping my mind off it. AAAHHH! Send me off to the insane asylum! Knock me out until it’s time! That’s how I feel. Blah.

I’m within days, too. Maybe just one or two even. It’s kind of torturous, to be honest. I do have a lot of other things to worry about, such as looking for work, so I try to keep myself busy with that. Also, cooking, cleaning and catching up with friends.

@gatystar:  Not only is the ring in the house, but I FOUND THE RING BOX! And have by some miracle resisted the temptation to take a peek (thanks to some very persuasive bees) but by golly has it been hard. Especially as I’m home alone and nobody would suspect a thing if I did have a little looksy. But I know my SO wouldn’t want that and honestly neither do I. I already know what the ring looks like to an extent as I designed it, but seeing it in person for the first time when my SO proposes is something that’s definitely worth the wait, so I’ll be a good little bee and forget all about the fact that my big shiny diamond ring is tucked away behind my SO’s pile of shirts in the spare room. Yep, really not thinking about it. AT. ALL.  O_O

@katlovesjames:  You found it in the house!? I can’t even imagine how crazy I would go if I knew it was in the house. I am very proud of you for not looking!

I got a timeline a few weeks ago that there would be a proposal before the end of the year; I think that may have made things worse! It is good to know I’m not alone. Thanks for all of the ideas for distractions, ladies! We will make it through this together!

I know mine is coming before Thanksgiving! I am going INSANE waiting bc it’s so close. Luckily we are leaving for our cruise the weekend of Thanksgiving so we are super busy! I have been trying not to talk about it at all. When I get that urge I immediately log on here or go bake something! Baking always distracts me. We are decorating our house for Christmas this weekend because we want it to be done when we come back from vaca. Maybe he’ll do it then!?!?! Fingers crossed!! Good luck! I feel your pain 🙁

Oy. I’ve had a gut feeling the proposal will happen right around our Thanksgiving trip…next week. But I have no hard proof and am only going on a couple of remarks my SO made months ago. I’m starting to go a little crazy though, trying to exercise to take my mind off things but it’s not working as well as I’d like…
