So many questions! We’re gettin hitched in August in Indiana (his home and close to mine) At the moment however we live DEEP in the heart of Texas. So I have some questions…. Mainly, how the heck to you transport gifts home… or is it kosher to ask for gift cards…
We have our reception location locked in, now we’re looking for ceremony sites… Trying to find a church or something from 1400 miles away is rough…. Ugh. Any suggestions on making the planning end a bit easier from this long distance would be appreciated… Thanks!

@Kym080412:Have gifts you register for shipped TO your home in TX! Most people online shop for these things now days, or request on the card that your registry info will be on.
Also, where in IN?

We’ll be in Lafayette Indiana where we met. I grew up in Chicago and He in a small town about 45 mins northeast of there. I moved to Lafayette for a radio job then met him a year before i left for Texas. He followed 🙂

its best if you ship the gifts and you could have family memebers spread the word that gift cards work best for you guys.
I actually am moving overseas after the wedding so I did the “tacky” thing and put a note with the invite asking that if they wanted to congradulate the bride and groom with a gift please consider giving montary gifts. Everyone told me not to but honestly shipping gifts 10,000 miles costs way too much so I did what was best for us.
