I only found IndieBride at the end of last summer and was not a very active poster. I mostly lurked and/or read the older posts – in fact, I think I actually may have bothered to finally register a week or two before they shut down. There was a lot of great advice and reviews there – I was able to find my venue and photographer through the board. I liked the attitude and the spirit of the board… made me feel better about not wanting a big, frilly spectacle of a wedding.

I guess that’s why I couldn’t find the ceremony readings repository the other day 😉 ugh, what a shame! that repository was really helpful!

I am in the process of organizing my wedding and I was using indiebride to a great extent. Does anyone have the ‘been there done that’ pages? I still need help and there is nothing quite as goos as indiebride…

Aw, that makes me sad. That site was SUPER helpful early on. 🙁  If I had more time, I’m sure it would have been helpful now, too.

Thanks friedicecream, unfortunately it doesn’t work 🙁 This is a real loss for everyone.

I am halfway through planning my wedding and so upset about this loss. I found the “been there done that” for NYC so helpful. I would really really appreciate any link to an archieve. Do you think the site’s creator could store an archieve somewhere?

@PSlope2012:  I am very upset about this too. I was not able to find anything online. Should we e-mail the site’s creator?

You could propose an “IndieBride” section to be added to the bee. Start one up!
