I think that song is in a 4/4 time signatgure, and it’s pretty slow,  so maybe a rumba.  To do a waltz you would need a song in 3/4, and I’m fairly certain that song isn’t.

But a rumba is kind of like a waltz.

Oh, I love this song. Not dance-related, but my husband and I used that song for the BM’s when they walked down the aisle. Looove that song…seems to be getting popular!

Beth, for the length, you can just try to find a portion in the song that you could fade out slowly to the end, or maybe see if you can splice it anywhere to make it shorter. 

Great song though!  My Fiance and I’s song is "Better Together" by Jack Johnson for various reasons, but that’s a hard one to do a first dance to as well, so I think we’re going to use it in our slideshow instead and try to find another song that means just as much to us.(quite a task!)
