- Wedding: August 2012
Mr. Mauverick and I exchanged vows and rings on Sunday, August 26th in front of 50 of our friends and family. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny Southern California day and just about everything was perfect. The venue we chose is a historic private estate in a quaint residential nighborhood. The ceremony took place in the front yard, on the lawn, and the reception followed immediately in the backyard. Our photographers were amazing and have already sent us a few sneak-peek photos. I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking… Enjoy!
Frist Look: (He had absolutely NO CLUE what my dress looked like and was completely surprised when I walked out in my big, poofy, princess-y ballgown!)
I had both of my parents walk me up the aisle, but my mom somehow didn’t make it into this photo. I’m sure there’s one of all 3 of us, but I don’t have it yet.
Trying my hardest to NOT cry while my husband said his vows. I finally had to break eye-contact and looked over at his two daughters who promptly started tearing up too!
We have a long-standing joke about “2 thumbs up” in our family so we had to get a photo of it right after our ceremony.
Husband’s 2 daughters
Our two Siberian Huskies! They walked up the aisle with Hubby’s 2 daughters and were very well behaved during the entire time they were there. We had a pet-sitter bring them to the venue before the ceremony (for pics), keep an eye on them during the ceremony, and then take them back to our house after the post-ceremony pictures. It worked out great!!
Me and my family: (Left to Right) father, younger sister, me, mother, older sister, niece. *My brother declined to come for very selfish/stupid reasons, but that’s a sad/frustrating story that I don’t want to think about. If I could change one thing about our wedding, I would have had my brother there.
Husband’s Family: (Left to Right) husband’s mother, younger daughter, husband, older daughter, mother’s husband.
The entire day flew by in a whirlwind and it’s so nice to be back from our honeymoon (4 days in Seattle, pics to come soon!) and be greeted by reminders of our beautiful day. I will post more photos when I receive them. Thanks for stopping by!
