I started a thread once about being snarky about moissys and said it should be against the tos to rag on girls for them. That thread was shut down. I think the best thing to do is not respond to the people who are starting trouble and not get sucked into the arguments about them.

I think there are definitely certain Bees who consistently post on the moissy threads with negative opinions (often with backhanded compliments, like “it’s so pretty, for a sim!” — rather than just saying that it’s pretty!), and I think it should be against the TOS. They’re being condescending and insulting towards others’ choices, and I think the mods should ask them to stay away from the moissy threads. Aint nobody got time for that! 🙂

Yeah it’s obnoxious. And I don’t understand why the mods allow it to happen over and over and over. Even if a member has hundreds of posts, she could still be considered a troll, or engaging in baiting. I just flag her posts and ignore her now.

They all seem to come from one particular bee and the only thing that happens is other people get moderated for calling her out…

v.      Please refrain from baiting.  Baiting is the act of encouraging responses or replies in order to cause dissent or discord; to instigate participation in a negative way.  Anytime you call attention to drama you’re amplifying it and actively participating in it, which is a violation of these policies.  This includes “last wording” or refusing to let an argument go.  For more information about name-calling and baiting, please see this thread.

i caused one thread to get shut doen, purely because i stated an opinion on moissanite (and a link to moissaniteco’s “history of moissanite” page), and one of the anti-moissanite bees countered everything i said and got pissy. and yeah. i feel bad for the OP of that thread.

i don’t know why people can’t get along. it doesn’t make sense.

so what? you don’t like something that other people like. keep it to yourself.
