That’s adorable! We used a little nest I bought in Chinatown for $3 and my florist put a few roses in it. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of it yet (hopefully will in a couple weeks…)  ๐Ÿ™

I crocheted a Tiffany blue ring box (and also a ring) as a joke for my Fiance before we were officially engaged (it’s a long story! ๐Ÿ™‚ ), and he used that crocheted box to put my engagement ring in when he proposed to me. So we’re going to use that to put our wedding rings in on our wedding day!

Here’s a pic of the box with the ring I made for him:

And…I’m not sure if it’s OK to say this or not, but I just opened up a little Etsy shop to sell my crocheted ring boxes. Let me know if I’m not supposed to say that and I’ll delete it!

I would love that just for a ring dish by my bed at night! How adorable! Also, I bought a ring pillow fully intending to use it until I found my mother’s ring pillow. I fell in love with it and so I’m using that ๐Ÿ™‚

We are using two little flat birds nests that are attached to small sticks. The rings will be held in with green ribbon and there will be ribbon wrapped around the place she holds. Our flower girls will be carrying little baskets. Not sure yet what I want them to “throw”. I would like something a little different than petals if anyone has ideas. I am having an outdoor/country themed wedding.

I love the nut. What a cute idea. If I didn’t already have my stuff that would be great!

@tinylittlebird: Colors are chocolate and a darker green like sage. Wedding is in July. I thought about feathers but we tested it out on the girls and my flower girls wont touch them haha. I wanted to go with something that was outdoorsy but also a little westerny. I am wearing my cowboy boots and my dad will be wearing his boots and cowboy hat.

@tinylittlebird: Thanks a lot. Now I’m hooked on the UO website. I didn’t know they had so much furniture!!!! Amazing stuff!

@14hrsgrl:  what about acorns or little pieces of hay?  or maybe sunflower petals/daisy petals as opposed to rose petals for a different look?  Your nests sound pretty!
